2He didוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213rightהַיָּשָׁ֖רhai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,yetH7534not with a wholeשָׁלֵֽם׃sha.LemH8003heartבְּלֵבָ֥בbe.le.VavH3824.

3Nowit cameוַיְהִ֕יvay.HiH1961about as soonH3512as the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָ֖הha.mam.la.KhahH4467wasfirmlyH2388in his graspH2388,that he killedוַֽיַּהֲרֹג֙vai.ya.ha.RogH2026his servantsעֲבָדָ֔יו'a.va.DavH5650who had slainהַמַּכִּ֖יםha.ma.KimH5221his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1the kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428.

4However, he did not putH4191their childrenבְּנֵיהֶ֖םbe.nei.HemH1121to deathH4191, but didas it is writtenכַכָּת֣וּבkha.ka.TuvH3789in the lawבַּתּוֹרָ֡הba.to.RahH8451in the bookבְּסֵ֣פֶרbe.Se.ferH5612of Mosesמֹשֶׁה֩mo.ShehH4872,whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068commandedצִוָּ֨הtzi.VahH6680,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, “Fathersאָב֤וֹת'a.VotH1shall not be putH4191to deathH4191for sonsבָּנִים֙ba.NimH1121,norH3808sonsוּבָנִים֙u.va.NimH1121be putH4191to deathH4191for fathersאָב֔וֹת'a.VotH1,but eachאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376shall be putH4191to deathH4191for his own sinבְּחֶטְא֖וֹbe.chet.'OH2399.”
