4So Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063gatheredוַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּvai.yi.ka.ve.TzuH6908together toseekלְבַקֵּ֖שׁle.va.KeshH1245help from the Lordמֵֽיְהוָ֑הme.Yah.wehH3068;they evenגַּ֚םgamH1571cameבָּ֖אוּBa.'uH935from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063to seekלְבַקֵּ֥שׁle.va.KeshH1245the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

5Then Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֗טye.ho.sha.FatH3092stoodוַיַּעֲמֹ֣דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975in the assemblyבִּקְהַ֧לbik.HalH6951of Judahיְהוּדָ֛הye.hu.DahH3063and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389,in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068beforeלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440the newהַחֲדָשָֽׁה׃ha.cha.da.ShahH2319courtהֶחָצֵ֥רhe.cha.TzerH2691,

6and he saidוַיֹּאמַ֗רvai.yo.MarH559, “O Lordיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of our fathersאֲבֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙'a.vo.Tei.nuH1,are You not Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430in the heavensבַּשָּׁמַ֔יִםba.sha.Ma.yimH8064? 7Did You not, O our Godאֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,driveהוֹרַ֙שְׁתָּ֙ho.Rash.taH3423out the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵי֙yo.she.VeiH3427of thisH2088landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776beforeמִלִּפְנֵ֖יmi.lif.NeiH4480 H6440Your peopleעַמְּךָ֣'a.me.KhaH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478andgiveוַֽתִּתְּנָ֗הּva.ti.te.NahH5414it to the descendantsלְזֶ֛רַעle.Ze.ra'H2233ofAbrahamאַבְרָהָ֥ם'av.ra.HamH85Your friendאֹֽהַבְךָ֖'o.hav.KhaH157foreverלְעוֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769?

8They have livedוַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ־vai.ye.she.Vu-H3427in it, and have builtוַיִּבְנ֨וּvai.yiv.NuH1129You a sanctuaryמִקְדָּ֖שׁmik.DashH4720there for Your nameלְשִׁמְךָ֥le.shim.KhaH8034,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

9‘Shouldאִם־'im-H518evilH7463comeתָּב֨וֹאta.Vo'H935upon us, the swordחֶרֶב֮che.RevH2719, orjudgmentשְׁפוֹט֮she.fOtH8196,or pestilenceוְדֶ֣בֶרve.De.verH1698,or famineוְרָעָב֒ve.ra.'AvH7458,we will standנַֽעַמְדָ֞הna.'am.DahH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֨יlif.NeiH6440thisהַזֶּה֙ha.ZehH2088houseהַבַּ֤יִתha.Ba.yitH1004and beforeוּלְפָנֶ֔יךָu.le.fa.Nei.khaH6440You (forYour nameשִׁמְךָ֖shim.KhaH8034is in thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088houseבַּבַּ֣יִתba.Ba.yitH1004)and cryוְנִזְעַ֥קve.niz.'AkH2199to You in our distressמִצָּרָתֵ֖נוּmi.tza.ra.Te.nuH6869,and You will hearוְתִשְׁמַ֥עve.tish.Ma'H8085and deliverוְתוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ve.to.Shi.a'H3467us.’

10Nowוְעַתָּ֡הve.'a.TahH6258beholdהִנֵּה֩hi.NehH2009,the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Ammonעַמּ֨וֹןa.MonH5983and Moabוּמוֹאָ֜בu.mo.'AvH4124andMountוְהַר־ve.har-H2022Seirשֵׂעִ֗ירse.'IrH8165,whomאֲ֠שֶׁר'a.SherH834You did not letנָתַ֤תָּהna.Ta.tahH5414Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙le.Yis.ra.'ElH3478invadeלָב֣וֹאla.Vo'H935when they cameבְּבֹאָ֖םbe.vo.'AmH935out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714(they turnedH5493asideסָ֥רוּSa.ruH5493from them and did not destroyהִשְׁמִידֽוּם׃hish.mi.DumH8045them),

11seeוְהִ֨נֵּה־ve.Hi.neh-H2009howthey are rewardingגֹּמְלִ֖יםgo.me.LimH1580us bycomingלָבוֹא֙la.Vo'H935to driveלְגָ֣רְשֵׁ֔נוּle.Ga.re.She.nuH1644us out from Your possessionמִיְּרֻשָּׁתְךָ֖mi.ye.ru.sha.te.KhaH3425whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834You have givenH3423us as an inheritanceH3423.

12O our Godאֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,will You not judgeתִשְׁפָּט־tish.pot-H8199them? For we are powerlessאֵ֥ין כֹּ֔חַ'ein Ko.achH369 H3581beforeלִ֠פְנֵיLif.neiH6440thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088greatהָרָ֛בha.RavH7227multitudeהֶהָמ֥וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995who are comingהַבָּ֣אha.Ba'H935againstH5921us; norH3808do we knowנֵדַע֙ne.Da'H3045whatמַֽה־mah-H4100to doנַּעֲשֶׂ֔הna.'a.SehH6213, butour eyesעֵינֵֽינוּ׃'ei.Nei.nuH5869are on You.”
