1Now when Rehoboamרְחַבְעָם֮re.chav.'AmH7346had comeוַיָּבֹ֣אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַם֒ye.ru.sha.LimH3389,he assembledוַיַּקְהֵל֩vai.yak.HelH6950the houseבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of Judahיְהוּדָ֜הye.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֗ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144,180,000מֵאָ֨ה וּשְׁמוֹנִ֥ים אֶ֛לֶףme.'Ah u.she.mo.Nim 'E.lefH3967 H8084 H505chosenבָּח֖וּרba.ChurH977men who were warriorsמִלְחָמָ֑הmil.cha.MahH4421,to fightלְהִלָּחֵם֙le.hi.la.ChemH3898againstעִם־'im-H5973Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478to restoreלְהָשִׁ֥יבle.ha.ShivH7725the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָ֖הha.mam.la.KhahH4467to Rehoboamלִרְחַבְעָֽם׃ פlir.chav.'AmH7346.

2But the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961toShemaiahשְׁמַֽעְיָ֥הוּshe.ma'.Ya.huH8098the manאִישׁ־'ish-H376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

3“Speakאֱמֹ֕ר'e.MorH559to Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֥םre.chav.'AmH7346the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010,kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,and to allכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478in Judahבִּיהוּדָ֥הbi.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֖ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

4‘Thusכֹּ֣הkohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֡הYah.wehH3068, “You shall not goתַעֲלוּ֩ta.'a.LuH5927up or fightתִלָּ֨חֲמ֜וּti.La.cha.MuH3898againstעִם־'im-H5973yourrelativesאֲחֵיכֶ֗ם'a.chei.KhemH251;returnשׁ֚וּבוּShu.vuH7725everyH376manH376to his houseלְבֵית֔וֹle.vei.ToH1004,for thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088thingהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697is from Me.”’” So they listenedוַֽיִּשְׁמְעוּ֙vai.yish.me.'UH8085to the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068and returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּvai.ya.Shu.vuH7725from goingמִלֶּ֥כֶתmi.Le.khetH1980againstאֶל־'el-H413Jeroboamיָרָבְעָֽם׃ פya.ra.ve.'AmH3379.
