2But neither he, nor his servantsוַעֲבָדָ֖יוva.'a.va.DavH5650,nor the peopleוְעַ֣םve.'AmH5971of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,did hearkenשָׁמַ֛עsha.Ma'H8085unto the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,which he spakeדִּבֶּ֔רdi.BerH1696byבְּיַ֖דbe.YadH3027the prophetהַנָּבִֽיא׃ha.na.Vi'H5030Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֥הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414.

4Now Jeremiahוְיִרְמְיָ֕הוּve.yir.me.Ya.huH3414came inבָּ֥אba'H935and went outוְיֹצֵ֖אve.yo.Tze'H3318amongבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971:for they had not putנָתְנ֥וּna.te.NuH5414him into prisonבֵּ֥ית הַכְּלֽוּא׃beit ha.ke.li'H3628 H1004.

5Then Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547armyוְחֵ֥ילve.CheilH2428was come forthיָצָ֣אya.Tza'H3318out of Egyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714:and when the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֜יםha.kas.DimH3778that besiegedהַצָּרִ֤יםha.tza.RimH6696Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ye.ru.sha.LimH3389heardוַיִּשְׁמְע֨וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085tidingsשִׁמְעָ֔םshim.'AmH8088of them, they departedוַיֵּ֣עָל֔וּvai.Ye.'a.LuH5927from Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ פye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

6Then came the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068unto the prophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֥הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

7Thus saithאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Thus shall ye sayתֹֽאמְרוּ֙to.me.RuH559to the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,that sentהַשֹּׁלֵ֧חַha.sho.Le.achH7971you unto me to enquireלְדָרְשֵׁ֑נִיle.da.re.She.niH1875of me; Behold, Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547armyחֵ֣ילcheilH2428,which is come forthהַיֹּצֵ֤אhai.yo.Tze'H3318to helpלְעֶזְרָ֔הle.'ez.RahH5833you, shall returnשָׁ֥בshavH7725to Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714into their own landלְאַרְצ֖וֹle.'ar.TzoH776.

8And the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778shall come againוְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ve.Sha.vuH7725,and fightוְנִלְחֲמ֖וּve.nil.cha.MuH3898against this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892,and takeוּלְכָדֻ֖הָu.le.kha.Du.haH3920it, and burnוּשְׂרָפֻ֥הָu.se.ra.Fu.haH8313it with fireבָאֵֽשׁ׃ סva.'EshH784.
