Jeremiah 32:26-44

26Then came the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068unto Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

27Behold, I amthe Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֖י'e.lo.HeiH430of all fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320:is there any thingדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697too hardיִפָּלֵ֖אyi.pa.Le'H6381for me?

28Therefore thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;Behold, I will giveנֹתֵן֩no.TenH5414this cityהָעִ֨ירha.'IrH5892into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֗יםha.kas.DimH3778,and into the handוּבְיַ֛דu.ve.YadH3027of Nebuchadrezzarנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894,and he shall takeוּלְכָדָֽהּ׃u.le.kha.DahH3920it:

29And the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֗יםha.kas.DimH3778,that fightהַנִּלְחָמִים֙ha.nil.cha.MimH3898against this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892,shall comeוּבָ֣אוּu.Va.'uH935and setוְהִצִּ֜יתוּve.hi.Tzi.tuH3341fireבָּאֵ֖שׁba.'EshH784on this cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892,and burnוּשְׂרָפ֑וּהָu.se.ra.Fu.haH8313it with the housesהַבָּתִּ֡יםha.ba.TimH1004,upon whose roofsגַּגּֽוֹתֵיהֶ֜םga.go.tei.HemH1406they have offered incenseקִטְּר֨וּki.te.RuH6999unto Baalלַבַּ֗עַלla.Ba.'alH1168,and poured outוְהִסִּ֤כוּve.hi.Si.khuH5258drink offeringsנְסָכִים֙ne.sa.KhimH5262unto otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֣יםle.lo.HimH430,to provoke me to angerהַכְעִסֵֽנִי׃hakh.'i.Se.niH3707.

30For the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the childrenוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063have only doneעֹשִׂ֥ים'o.SimH6213evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451beforeבְּעֵינַ֖יbe.'ei.NaiH5869me from their youthמִנְּעֻרֹֽתֵיהֶ֑םmi.ne.'u.ro.tei.HemH5271:for the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478have only provoked me to angerמַכְעִסִ֥יםmakh.'i.SimH3707with the workבְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥הbe.ma.'a.SehH4639of their handsיְדֵיהֶ֖םye.dei.HemH3027,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

31For this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892hath been to me asa provocation of mine angerאַפִּ֣י'a.PiH639and of my furyחֲמָתִ֗יcha.ma.TiH2534from the dayהַיּוֹם֙hai.yOmH3117that they builtבָּנ֣וּba.NuH1129it even unto this dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117;that I should removeלַהֲסִירָ֖הּla.ha.si.RahH5493it from before my faceפָּנָֽי׃pa.NaiH6440,

32Because of all the evilרָעַ֨תra.'AtH7451of the childrenבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478and of the childrenוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063,which they have doneעָשׂוּ֙'a.SuH6213to provoke me to angerלְהַכְעִסֵ֔נִיle.hakh.'i.Se.niH3707,they, their kingsמַלְכֵיהֶם֙mal.khei.HemH4428,their princesשָֽׂרֵיהֶ֔םsa.rei.HemH8269,their priestsכֹּהֲנֵיהֶ֖םko.ha.nei.HemH3548,and their prophetsוּנְבִֽיאֵיהֶ֑םu.ne.vi.'ei.HemH5030,and the menוְאִ֣ישׁve.'IshH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,and the inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֵ֖יve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

33And they have turnedוַיִּפְנ֥וּvai.yif.NuH6437unto me the backעֹ֖רֶף'O.refH6203,and not the faceפָנִ֑יםfa.NimH6440:though I taughtוְלַמֵּ֤דve.la.MedH3925them, rising up earlyהַשְׁכֵּ֣םhash.KemH7925and teachingוְלַמֵּ֔דve.la.MedH3925them,yet they have not hearkenedשֹׁמְעִ֖יםsho.me.'ImH8085to receiveלָקַ֥חַתla.Ka.chatH3947instructionמוּסָֽר׃mu.SarH4148.

34But they setוַיָּשִׂ֣ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760their abominationsשִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶ֗םshi.ku.tzei.HemH8251in the houseבַּבַּ֛יִתba.Ba.yitH1004,which is calledנִקְרָֽא־nik.ra'-H7121by my nameשְׁמִ֥יshe.MiH8034,to defileלְטַמְּאֽוֹ׃le.ta.me.'OH2930it.

35And they builtוַיִּבְנוּ֩vai.yiv.NuH1129the high placesבָּמ֨וֹתba.MotH1116of Baalהַבַּ֜עַלha.Ba.'alH1168, which arein the valleyבְּגֵ֣יאbe.Gei'H1516of the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hinnomהִנֹּ֗םhi.NomH2011,to cause their sonsבְּנֵיהֶ֣םbe.nei.HemH1121and their daughtersבְּנוֹתֵיהֶם֮be.no.tei.HemH1323to passלְ֠הַעֲבִירLe.ha.'a.virH5674through the fireunto Molechלַמֹּלֶךְ֒la.mo.leKhH4432;which I commandedצִוִּיתִ֗יםtzi.vi.TimH6680them not, neither cameעָֽלְתָה֙'al.TahH5927it into my mindלִבִּ֔יli.BiH3820,that they should doלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213this abominationהַתּוֹעֵבָ֣הha.to.'e.VahH8441,to cause Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ סye.hu.DahH3063to sinהַחֲטִ֥יאha.cha.ti'H2398.

36And now therefore thus saithאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,concerning this cityהָעִ֨ירha.'IrH5892,whereof ye sayאֹמְרִ֗ים'o.me.RimH559,It shall be deliveredנִתְּנָה֙ni.te.NahH5414into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894by the swordבַּחֶ֖רֶבba.Che.revH2719,and by the famineוּבָרָעָ֥בu.va.ra.'AvH7458,and by the pestilenceוּבַדָּֽבֶר׃u.va.Da.verH1698;

37Behold, I will gather them outמְקַבְּצָם֙me.ka.be.TzamH6908of all countriesהָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776,whither I have drivenהִדַּחְתִּ֥יםhi.dach.TimH5080them in mine angerבְּאַפִּ֥יbe.'a.PiH639,and in my furyוּבַחֲמָתִ֖יu.va.cha.ma.TiH2534,and in greatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419wrathוּבְקֶ֣צֶףu.ve.Ke.tzefH7110;and I will bring them againוַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִים֙va.ha.shi.vo.TimH7725unto this placeהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,and I will cause them to dwellוְהֹשַׁבְתִּ֖יםve.ho.shav.TimH3427safelyלָבֶֽטַח׃la.Ve.tachH983:

38And they shall be my peopleלְעָ֑םle.'AmH5971,and I will be their Godלֵאלֹהִֽים׃le.lo.HimH430:

39And I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414them oneאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259heartלֵ֤בlevH3820,and oneאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259wayוְדֶ֣רֶךְve.De.rekhH1870,that they may fearלְיִרְאָ֥הle.yir.'AhH3372me for everהַיָּמִ֑יםhai.ya.MimH3117,for the goodלְט֣וֹבle.TovH2896of them, and of their childrenוְלִבְנֵיהֶ֖םve.liv.nei.HemH1121afterאַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃'a.cha.rei.HemH310them:

40And I will makeוְכָרַתִּ֤יve.kha.ra.TiH3772an everlastingעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285with them, that I will not turn awayאָשׁוּב֙'a.ShuvH7725from themמֵאַ֣חֲרֵיהֶ֔םme.'A.cha.rei.HemH310,to do them goodלְהֵיטִיבִ֖יle.hei.ti.ViH3190;but I will putאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414my fearיִרְאָתִי֙yir.'a.TiH3374in their heartsבִּלְבָבָ֔םbil.va.VamH3824,that they shall not departס֥וּרsurH5493from me.

41Yea, I will rejoiceוְשַׂשְׂתִּ֥יve.sas.TiH7797over them to do them goodH2895,and I will plantוּנְטַעְתִּ֞יםu.ne.ta'.TimH5193them in this landבָּאָ֤רֶץba.'A.retzH776assuredlyבֶּאֱמֶ֔תbe.'e.MetH571with my whole heartלִבִּ֖יli.BiH3820and with my whole soulנַפְשִֽׁי׃ סnaf.ShiH5315.

42For thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;Like as I have broughtהֵבֵ֙אתִי֙he.Ve.tiH935all this greatהַגְּדוֹלָ֖הha.ge.do.LahH1419evilהָרָעָ֥הha.ra.'AhH7451upon this peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971,so will I bringמֵבִ֤יאme.Vi'H935upon them all the goodהַטּוֹבָ֔הha.to.VahH2896that I have promisedדֹּבֵ֥רdo.VerH1696them.

43And fieldsהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704shall be boughtוְנִקְנָ֥הve.nik.NahH7069in this landבָּאָ֣רֶץba.'A.retzH776,whereof ye sayאֹמְרִ֗ים'o.me.RimH559, It isdesolateשְׁמָמָ֥הshe.ma.MahH8077without manאָדָם֙'a.DamH120or beastוּבְהֵמָ֔הu.ve.he.MahH929;it is givenנִתְּנָ֖הni.te.NahH5414into the handבְּיַ֥דbe.YadH3027of the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּֽים׃ha.kas.DimH3778.

44Men shall buyיִקְנ֗וּyik.NuH7069fieldsשָׂד֞וֹתsa.DotH7704for moneyבַּכֶּ֣סֶףba.Ke.sefH3701,and subscribeוְכָת֨וֹבve.kha.TovH3789evidencesבַּסֵּ֥פֶר׀ba.Se.ferH5612,and sealוְחָתוֹם֮ve.cha.tOmH2856them,and takeוְהָעֵ֣דve.ha.'EdH5749witnessesעֵדִים֒'e.DimH5707in the landבְּאֶ֨רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֜ןbin.ya.MinH1144,and in the places aboutוּבִסְבִיבֵ֣יu.vis.vi.VeiH5439Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֤יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063,and in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֣יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of the mountainsהָהָ֔רha.HarH2022,and in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֥יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of the valleyהַשְּׁפֵלָ֖הha.she.fe.LahH8219,and in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֣יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of the southהַנֶּ֑גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045:for I will cause their captivityשְׁבוּתָ֖םshe.vu.TamH7622to returnאָשִׁ֥יב'a.ShivH7725,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.
