37And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֗בya.'a.KoH3290tookוַיִּֽקַּֽח־vai.yi.kach-H3947him rodsמַקַּ֥לma.KalH4731of greenלַ֖חlachH3892poplarלִבְנֶ֛הliv.NehH3839,and of the hazelוְל֣וּזve.LuzH3869and chesnut treeוְעֶרְמ֑וֹןve.'er.MonH6196;and pilledוַיְפַצֵּ֤לvay.fa.TzelH6478whiteלְבָנ֔וֹתle.va.NotH3836strakesפְּצָל֣וֹתpe.tza.LotH6479in them, and made the whiteהַלָּבָ֔ןha.la.VanH3836appearמַחְשֹׂף֙mach.SofH4286which wasin the rodsהַמַּקְלֽוֹת׃ha.mak.LotH4731.

39And the flocksהַצֹּ֖אןha.TzonH6629conceivedוַיֶּחֱמ֥וּvai.ye.che.MuH3179before the rodsהַמַּקְל֑וֹתha.mak.LotH4731,and brought forthוַתֵּלַ֣דְןָva.te.Lad.naH3205cattleהַצֹּ֔אןha.TzonH6629ringstrakedעֲקֻדִּ֥ים'a.ku.DimH6124,speckledנְקֻדִּ֖יםne.ku.DimH5348,and spottedוּטְלֻאִֽים׃u.te.lu.'ImH2921.

40And Jacobיַעֲקֹב֒ya.'a.KoH3290did separateהִפְרִ֣ידhif.RidH6504the lambsוְהַכְּשָׂבִים֮ve.ha.ke.sa.VimH3775,and setוַ֠יִּתֵּןVai.yi.tenH5414the facesפְּנֵ֨יpe.NeiH6440of the flocksהַצֹּ֧אןha.TzonH6629towardאֶל־'el-H413the ringstrakedעָקֹ֛ד'a.KodH6124,and all the brownח֖וּםchumH2345in the flockבְּצֹ֣אןbe.TzonH6629of Labanלָבָ֑ןla.VanH3837;and he putוַיָּֽשֶׁת־vai.ya.shet-H7896his own flocksעֲדָרִים֙'a.da.RimH5739by themselves, and putשָׁתָ֖םsha.TamH7896them not unto Laban’sלָבָֽן׃la.VanH3837cattleצֹ֥אןtzonH6629.

41And it came to pass, whensoever the strongerהַמְקֻשָּׁרוֹת֒ham.ku.sha.roTH7194cattleהַצֹּ֣אןha.TzonH6629did conceiveיַחֵם֮ya.ChemH3179,that Jacobיַעֲקֹ֧בya.'a.KoH3290laidוְשָׂ֨םve.SamH7760the rodsהַמַּקְל֛וֹתha.mak.LotH4731before the eyesלְעֵינֵ֥יle.'ei.NeiH5869of the cattleהַצֹּ֖אןha.TzonH6629in the guttersבָּרֳהָטִ֑יםbo.ro.ha.TimH7298,that they might conceiveלְיַחְמֵ֖נָּהle.yach.Me.nahH3179among the rodsבַּמַּקְלֽוֹת׃ba.mak.LotH4731.

42But when the cattleהַצֹּ֖אןha.TzonH6629were feebleוּבְהַעֲטִ֥יףu.ve.ha.'a.TifH5848, he put themnot inיָשִׂ֑יםya.SimH7760:so the feeblerהָעֲטֻפִים֙ha.'a.tu.FimH5848were Laban’sלְלָבָ֔ןle.la.VanH3837,and the strongerוְהַקְּשֻׁרִ֖יםve.ha.ke.shu.RimH7194Jacob’sלְיַעֲקֹֽב׃le.ya.'a.KoH3290.
