1Now the serpentוְהַנָּחָשׁ֙ve.ha.na.ChashH5175wasהָיָ֣הha.YahH1961more subtilעָר֔וּם'a.RumH6175than any beastחַיַּ֣תchai.YatH2416of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֔הha.sa.DehH7704which the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֑ים'E.lo.HimH430had madeעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213.And he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559unto the womanהָ֣אִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802,Yeaאַ֚ף'afH637,hath Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559,Ye shall not eatתֹֽאכְל֔וּto.khe.LuH398of every treeעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086of the gardenהַגָּֽן׃ha.GANH1588?

2And the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֖הha.'i.ShahH802saidוַתֹּ֥אמֶרva.To.merH559unto the serpentהַנָּחָ֑שׁha.na.ChashH5175,We may eatנֹאכֵֽל׃no.KhelH398of the fruitמִפְּרִ֥יmi.pe.RiH6529of the treesעֵֽץ־'etz-H6086of the gardenהַגָּ֖ןha.GanH1588:

3But of the fruitוּמִפְּרִ֣יu.mi.pe.RiH6529of the treeהָעֵץ֮ha.'EtzH6086which isin the midstבְּתוֹךְ־be.tokh-H8432of the gardenהַגָּן֒ha.GanH1588,Godאֱלֹהִ֗ים'E.lo.HimH430hath saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559,Ye shall not eatתֹֽאכְלוּ֙to.khe.LuH398of it, neither shall ye touchתִגְּע֖וּti.ge.'UH5060it, lestפֶּן־pen-H6435ye dieתְּמֻתֽוּן׃te.mu.TunH4191.

4And the serpentהַנָּחָ֖שׁha.na.ChashH5175saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֑הha.'i.ShahH802,Ye shall not surelyמ֖וֹתMotH4191dieתְּמֻתֽוּן׃te.mu.TunH4191:

5For Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430doth knowיֹדֵ֣עַyo.De.a'H3045that in the dayבְּיוֹם֙be.yOmH3117ye eatאֲכָלְכֶ֣ם'a.khal.KhemH398thereof, then your eyesעֵֽינֵיכֶ֑ם'ei.nei.KhemH5869shall be openedוְנִפְקְח֖וּve.nif.ke.ChuH6491,and ye shall be as godsכֵּֽאלֹהִ֔יםke.lo.HimH430,knowingיֹדְעֵ֖יyo.de.'EiH3045goodט֥וֹבTovH2896and evilוָרָֽע׃va.Ra'H7451.

6And when the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֡הha.'i.ShahH802sawוַתֵּ֣רֶאva.Te.re'H7200that the treeהָעֵ֨ץha.'EtzH6086wasgoodטוֹב֩tOvH2896for foodלְמַאֲכָ֜לle.ma.'a.KhalH3978,and that itה֣וּאhu'H1931waspleasantתַֽאֲוָה־ta.'a.vah-H8378to the eyesלָעֵינַ֗יִםla.'ei.Na.yimH5869,and a treeהָעֵץ֙ha.'EtzH6086to be desiredוְנֶחְמָ֤דve.nech.MadH2530to make onewiseלְהַשְׂכִּ֔ילle.has.KilH7919,she tookוַתִּקַּ֥חva.ti.KachH3947of the fruit thereofמִפִּרְי֖וֹmi.pir.YoH6529,and did eatוַתֹּאכַ֑לva.to.KhalH398,and gaveוַתִּתֵּ֧ןva.ti.TenH5414alsoגַּם־gam-H1571unto her husbandלְאִישָׁ֛הּle.'i.ShahH376with her; and he did eatוַיֹּאכַֽל׃vai.yo.KhalH398.

7And the eyesעֵינֵ֣י'ei.NeiH5869of them bothשְׁנֵיהֶ֔םshe.nei.HemH8147were openedוַתִּפָּקַ֙חְנָה֙va.ti.pa.Kach.nahH6491,and theyהֵ֑םHemH1992knewוַיֵּ֣דְע֔וּvai.Ye.de.'UH3045that they werenakedעֵֽירֻמִּ֖ם'ei.ru.MimH5903;and they sewedוַֽיִּתְפְּרוּ֙vai.yit.pe.RuH8609figתְאֵנָ֔הte.'e.NahH8384leavesעֲלֵ֣ה'a.LehH5929togetherH8609,and made themselvesוַיַּעֲשׂ֥וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213apronsחֲגֹרֹֽת׃cha.go.RotH2290.

8And they heardוַֽיִּשְׁמְע֞וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085the voiceק֨וֹלKolH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430walkingמִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְmit.ha.LekhH1980in the gardenבַּגָּ֖ןba.GanH1588in the coolלְר֣וּחַle.Ru.achH7307of the dayהַיּ֑וֹםhai.YomH3117:and Adamהָֽאָדָ֜םha.'a.DamH120and his wifeוְאִשְׁתּ֗וֹve.'ish.ToH802hid themselvesוַיִּתְחַבֵּ֨אvai.yit.cha.Be'H2244from the presenceמִפְּנֵי֙mi.pe.NeiH6440of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430amongstבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the treesעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086of the gardenהַגָּֽן׃ha.GanH1588.

9And the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430calledוַיִּקְרָ֛אvai.yik.Ra'H7121unto Adamהָֽאָדָ֑םha.'a.DamH120,and saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Where artthouאַיֶּֽכָּה׃'ai.Ye.kahH335?

10And he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,I heardשָׁמַ֖עְתִּיsha.Ma'.tiH8085thy voiceקֹלְךָ֥ko.le.ChaH6963in the gardenבַּגָּ֑ןba.GanH1588,and I was afraidוָאִירָ֛אva.'i.Ra'H3372,because Iאָנֹ֖כִי'a.No.khiH595wasnakedעֵירֹ֥ם'ei.RomH5903;and I hid myselfוָאֵחָבֵֽא׃va.'e.cha.Ve'H2244.

11And he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Whoמִ֚יmiH4310toldהִגִּ֣ידhi.GidH5046thee that thou wastnakedעֵירֹ֖ם'ei.RomH5903?Hast thou eatenאֲכָל־'a.khol-H398of the treeהָעֵ֗ץha.'EtzH6086,whereof I commanded theeצִוִּיתִ֛יךָtzi.vi.Ti.khaH6680that thou shouldest notלְבִלְתִּ֥יle.vil.TiH1115eatאָכָֽלְתָּ׃'a.Khal.taH398?

12And the manהָֽאָדָ֑םha.'a.DamH120saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,The womanהָֽאִשָּׁה֙ha.'i.ShahH802whom thou gavestנָתַ֣תָּהna.Ta.tahH5414to bewith meעִמָּדִ֔י'i.ma.DiH5978,sheהִ֛ואhi'H1931gaveנָֽתְנָה־na.te.nah-H5414me of the treeהָעֵ֖ץha.'EtzH6086,and I did eatוָאֹכֵֽל׃va.'o.KhelH398.

13And the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the womanלָאִשָּׁ֖הla.'i.ShahH802, What is this thatthou hast doneעָשִׂ֑ית'a.SitH6213?And the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802saidוַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙va.To.merH559,The serpentהַנָּחָ֥שׁha.na.ChashH5175beguiled meהִשִּׁיאַ֖נִיhi.shi.'A.niH5377,and I did eatוָאֹכֵֽל׃va.'o.KhelH398.
