5And the servantהָעֶ֔בֶדha.'E.vedH5650saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Peradventure the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802will not be willingתֹאבֶ֣הto.VehH14to followH3212meאַחֲרַ֖י'a.cha.RaiH310unto this landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776:must I needs bringהֶֽהָשֵׁ֤בhe.ha.ShevH7725thy sonבִּנְךָ֔bin.KhaH1121againאָשִׁיב֙'a.ShivH7725unto the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776from whence thou camestיָצָ֥אתָya.Tza.taH3318?

6And Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֑ם'av.ra.HamH85saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Bewareהִשָּׁ֣מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104thou that thou bringH7725notפֶּן־pen-H6435my sonבְּנִ֖יbe.NiH1121thither againH7725.

7The Lordיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֗יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,which took meלְקָחַ֜נִיle.ka.Cha.niH3947from my father’sאָבִי֮'a.ViH1houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004,and from the landוּמֵאֶ֣רֶץu.me.'E.retzH776of my kindredמֽוֹלַדְתִּי֒mo.lad.TiH4138,and which spakeדִּבֶּר־di.ber-H1696unto me, and that swareנִֽשְׁבַּֽע־nish.ba'-H7650unto me, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Unto thy seedלְזַ֨רְעֲךָ֔le.Zar.'a.khaH2233will I giveאֶתֵּ֖ן'e.TenH5414this landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776;he shall sendיִשְׁלַ֤חyish.LachH7971his angelמַלְאָכוֹ֙mal.'a.KhoH4397before theeלְפָנֶ֔יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440,and thou shalt takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֥ve.la.kach.TaH3947a wifeאִשָּׁ֛ה'i.ShahH802unto my sonלִבְנִ֖יliv.NiH1121from thence.

8And if the womanהָֽאִשָּׁה֙ha.'i.ShahH802will not be willingתֹאבֶ֤הto.VehH14to followH3212theeאַחֲרֶ֔יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310,then thou shalt be clearוְנִקִּ֕יתָve.ni.Ki.taH5352from this my oathמִשְּׁבֻעָתִ֖יmi.she.vu.'a.TiH7621:only bringH7725not my sonבְּנִ֔יbe.NiH1121thither againH7725.

9And the servantהָעֶ֙בֶד֙ha.'E.vedH5650putוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760his handיָד֔וֹya.DoH3027under the thighיֶ֥רֶךְYe.rekhH3409of Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85his masterאֲדֹנָ֑יו'a.do.NavH113,and swareוַיִּשָּׁ֣בַֽעvai.yi.Sha.va'H7650to him concerningעַל־'al-H5921thatהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088matterהַדָּבָ֖רha.da.VarH1697.

10And the servantהָ֠עֶבֶדHa.'e.vedH5650tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947tenעֲשָׂרָ֨ה'a.sa.RahH6235camelsגְמַלִּ֜יםge.ma.LimH1581of the camelsמִגְּמַלֵּ֤יmi.ge.ma.LeiH1581of his masterאֲדֹנָיו֙'a.do.NavH113,and departedH3212;for all the goodsט֥וּבtuvH2898of his masterאֲדֹנָ֖יו'a.do.NavH113werein his handבְּיָד֑וֹbe.ya.DoH3027:and he aroseוַיָּ֗קָםvai.Ya.komH6965,and wentH3212to MesopotamiaH763,unto the cityעִ֥יר'irH5892of Nahorנָחֽוֹר׃na.ChorH5152.

11And he madeH1288his camelsהַגְּמַלִּ֛יםha.ge.ma.LimH1581to kneel downH1288withoutמִח֥וּץmi.ChutzH2351the cityלָעִ֖ירla.'IrH5892byאֶל־'el-H413a wellבְּאֵ֣רbe.'ErH875of waterהַמָּ֑יִםha.Ma.yimH4325at the timeלְעֵ֣תle.'EtH6256of the eveningעֶ֔רֶב'E.revH6153, eventhe timeלְעֵ֖תle.'EtH6256that women go outצֵ֥אתtzetH3318to drawהַשֹּׁאֲבֹֽת׃ha.sho.'a.VotH7579water.

13Behold, I standנִצָּ֖בni.TzavH5324hereby the wellעֵ֣ין'einH5869of waterהַמָּ֑יִםha.Ma.yimH4325;and the daughtersוּבְנוֹת֙u.ve.noTH1323of the menאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892come outיֹצְאֹ֖תyo.tze.'OtH3318to drawלִשְׁאֹ֥בlish.'OH7579waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325:

14And let it come to pass, that the damselהַֽנַּעֲרָ֗ha.na.'a.RaH5291to whom I shall sayאֹמַ֤ר'o.MarH559,Let downהַטִּי־ha.ti-H5186thy pitcherכַדֵּךְ֙kha.deKhH3537,I pray thee, that I may drinkוְאֶשְׁתֶּ֔הve.'esh.TehH8354;and she shall sayוְאָמְרָ֣הve.'a.me.RahH559,Drinkשְׁתֵ֔הshe.TehH8354,and I will giveאַשְׁקֶ֑ה'ash.KehH8248thy camelsגְּמַלֶּ֖יךָge.ma.Lei.khaH1581drinkH8248also: let the same be she thatthou hast appointedהֹכַ֙חְתָּ֙ho.Khach.taH3198for thy servantלְעַבְדְּךָ֣le.'av.de.KhaH5650Isaacלְיִצְחָ֔קle.yitz.ChakH3327;and thereby shall I knowאֵדַ֔ע'e.Da'H3045that thou hast shewedעָשִׂ֥יתָ'a.Si.taH6213kindnessחֶ֖סֶדChe.sedH2617unto my masterאֲדֹנִֽי׃'a.do.NiH113.

15And it came to pass, before he had doneכִּלָּ֣הki.LahH3615speakingלְדַבֵּר֒le.da.BerH1696,that, behold, Rebekahרִבְקָ֣הriv.KahH7259came outיֹצֵ֗אתyo.TzetH3318,whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834was bornיֻלְּדָה֙yu.le.DahH3205to Bethuelלִבְתוּאֵ֣לliv.tu.'ElH1328,sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Milcahמִלְכָּ֔הmil.KahH4435,the wifeאֵ֥שֶׁת'E.shetH802of Nahorנָח֖וֹרna.ChorH5152,Abraham’sאַבְרָהָ֑ם'av.ra.HamH85brotherאֲחִ֣י'a.ChiH251,with her pitcherוְכַדָּ֖הּve.kha.DahH3537upon her shoulderשִׁכְמָֽהּ׃shikh.MahH7926.

16And the damselוְהַֽנַּעֲרָ֗ve.ha.na.'a.RaH5291wasveryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966fairטֹבַ֤תto.VatH2896to look uponמַרְאֶה֙mar.'EhH4758,a virginבְּתוּלָ֕הbe.tu.LahH1330,neither had any manוְאִ֖ישׁve.'IshH376knownיְדָעָ֑הּye.da.'AhH3045her: and she went downוַתֵּ֣רֶדva.Te.redH3381to the wellהָעַ֔יְנָהha.'Ay.nahH5869,and filledוַתְּמַלֵּ֥אva.te.ma.Le'H4390her pitcherכַדָּ֖הּkha.DahH3537,and came upוַתָּֽעַל׃va.Ta.'alH5927.

17And the servantהָעֶ֖בֶדha.'E.vedH5650ranוַיָּ֥רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323to meet herH7125,and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Let me, I pray thee, drinkהַגְמִיאִ֥ינִיhag.mi.'I.niH1572a littleמְעַט־me.'at-H4592waterמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325of thy pitcherמִכַּדֵּֽךְ׃mi.ka.DekhH3537.

18And she saidוַתֹּ֖אמֶרva.To.merH559,Drinkשְׁתֵ֣הshe.TehH8354,my lordאֲדֹנִ֑י'a.do.NiH113:and she hastedוַתְּמַהֵ֗רva.te.ma.HerH4116,and let downוַתֹּ֧רֶדva.To.redH3381her pitcherכַּדָּ֛הּka.DahH3537upon her handיָדָ֖הּya.DahH3027,and gave him drinkוַתַּשְׁקֵֽהוּ׃va.tash.Ke.huH8248.

19And when she had doneוַתְּכַ֖לva.te.KhalH3615giving him drinkלְהַשְׁקֹת֑וֹle.hash.ko.ToH8248,she saidוַתֹּ֗אמֶרva.To.merH559,I will drawאֶשְׁאָ֔ב'esh.'AvH7579waterfor thy camelsלִגְמַלֶּ֙יךָ֙lig.ma.Lei.khaH1581also, until they have doneכִּלּ֖וּki.LuH3615drinkingלִשְׁתֹּֽת׃lish.TotH8354.

20And she hastedוַתְּמַהֵ֗רva.te.ma.HerH4116,and emptiedוַתְּעַ֤רva.te.'ArH6168her pitcherכַּדָּהּ֙ka.DahH3537into the troughהַשֹּׁ֔קֶתha.Sho.ketH8268,and ranוַתָּ֥רָץva.Ta.rotzH7323again unto the wellהַבְּאֵ֖רha.be.'ErH875to drawלִשְׁאֹ֑בlish.'OH7579water,and drewוַתִּשְׁאַ֖בva.tish.'AvH7579for all his camelsגְּמַלָּֽיו׃ge.ma.LavH1581.

21And the manוְהָאִ֥ישׁve.ha.'IshH376wonderingמִשְׁתָּאֵ֖הmish.ta.'EhH7583at her held his peaceמַחֲרִ֕ישׁma.cha.RishH2790,to witלָדַ֗עַתla.Da.'atH3045whether the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had madeH6743his journeyדַּרְכּ֖וֹdar.KoH1870prosperousH6743orאִם־'im-H518not.

22And it came to pass, as the camelsהַגְּמַלִּים֙ha.ge.ma.LimH1581had doneכִּלּ֤וּki.LuH3615drinkingלִשְׁתּ֔וֹתlish.TotH8354,that the manהָאִישׁ֙ha.'IshH376tookוַיִּקַּ֤חvai.yi.KachH3947a goldenזָהָ֔בza.HavH2091earringנֶ֣זֶםNe.zemH5141of half a shekelבֶּ֖קַעBe.ka'H1235weightמִשְׁקָל֑וֹmish.ka.LoH4948,and twoוּשְׁנֵ֤יu.she.NeiH8147braceletsצְמִידִים֙tze.mi.DimH6781for her handsיָדֶ֔יהָya.Dei.haH3027of tenעֲשָׂרָ֥ה'a.sa.RahH6235shekelsweightמִשְׁקָלָֽם׃mish.ka.LamH4948of goldזָהָ֖בza.HavH2091;

23And saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,Whoseמִ֣יmiH4310daughterבַּת־bat-H1323artthouאַ֔תְּ'AtH859?tellהַגִּ֥ידִיha.Gi.diH5046me, I pray thee: is thereהֲיֵ֧שׁha.YeshH3426roomמָק֥וֹםma.KomH4725inthy father’sאָבִ֛יךְ'a.VikhH1houseבֵּית־beit-H1004for us to lodge inלָלִֽין׃la.LinH3885?

24And she saidוַתֹּ֣אמֶרva.To.merH559unto him, I amthe daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Bethuelבְּתוּאֵ֖לbe.tu.'ElH1328the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Milcahמִלְכָּ֕הmil.KahH4435,which she bareיָלְדָ֖הyal.DahH3205unto Nahorלְנָחֽוֹר׃le.na.ChorH5152.

25She saidוַתֹּ֣אמֶרva.To.merH559moreover unto him, We have bothH1571strawתֶּ֥בֶןTe.venH8401and provenderמִסְפּ֖וֹאmis.Po'H4554enoughרַ֣בravH7227,andH1571roomמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725to lodge inלָלֽוּן׃la.LunH3885.

26And the manהָאִ֔ישׁha.'IshH376bowed down his headוַיִּקֹּ֣דvai.yi.KodH6915,and worshippedוַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּvai.yish.Ta.chuH7812the Lordלַֽיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

28And the damselהַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ha.na.'a.RaH5291ranוַתָּ֙רָץ֙va.Ta.rotzH7323,and toldוַתַּגֵּ֖דva.ta.GedH5046them ofher mother’sאִמָּ֑הּ'i.MahH517houseלְבֵ֣יתle.VeitH1004these thingsכַּדְּבָרִ֖יםka.de.va.RimH1697.

29And Rebekahוּלְרִבְקָ֥הu.le.riv.KahH7259had a brotherאָ֖ח'achH251,and his nameוּשְׁמ֣וֹu.she.MoH8034wasLabanלָבָ֑ןla.VanH3837:and Labanלָבָ֧ןla.VanH3837ranוַיָּ֨רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323outהַח֖וּצָהha.Chu.tzahH2351unto the manהָאִ֛ישׁha.'IshH376,unto the wellהָעָֽיִן׃ha.'A.yinH5869.

30And it came to pass, when he sawכִּרְאֹ֣תkir.'OtH7200the earringהַנֶּ֗זֶםha.Ne.zemH5141and braceletsהַצְּמִדִים֮ha.tze.mi.DimH6781upon his sister’sאֲחֹתוֹ֒'a.cho.ToH269handsיְדֵ֣יye.DeiH3027,and when he heardוּכְשָׁמְע֗וֹu.khe.sha.me.'OH8085the wordsדִּבְרֵ֞יdiv.ReiH1697of Rebekahרִבְקָ֤הriv.KahH7259his sisterאֲחֹתוֹ֙'a.cho.ToH269,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541spakeדִבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696the manהָאִ֑ישׁha.'IshH376unto me; that he cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935unto the manהָאִ֔ישׁha.'IshH376;and, behold, he stoodעֹמֵ֥ד'o.MedH5975byH5921the camelsהַגְּמַלִּ֖יםha.ge.ma.LimH1581at the wellהָעָֽיִן׃ha.'A.yinH5869.

31And he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Come inבּ֖וֹאBo'H935,thou blessedבְּר֣וּךְbe.RukhH1288of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;wherefore standestתַעֲמֹד֙ta.'a.ModH5975thou withoutבַּח֔וּץba.ChutzH2351?for I have preparedפִּנִּ֣יתִיpi.Ni.tiH6437the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,and roomוּמָק֖וֹםu.ma.KomH4725for the camelsלַגְּמַלִּֽים׃la.ge.ma.LimH1581.

32And the manהָאִישׁ֙ha.'IshH376cameוַיָּבֹ֤אvai.ya.Vo'H935into the houseהַבַּ֔יְתָהha.Bay.tahH1004:and he ungirdedוַיְפַתַּ֖חvay.fa.TachH6605his camelsהַגְּמַלִּ֑יםha.ge.ma.LimH1581,and gaveוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414strawתֶּ֤בֶןTe.venH8401and provenderוּמִסְפּוֹא֙u.mis.pO'H4554for the camelsלַגְּמַלִּ֔יםla.ge.ma.LimH1581,and waterוּמַ֙יִם֙u.Ma.yimH4325to washלִרְחֹ֣ץlir.ChotzH7364his feetרַגְלָ֔יוrag.LavH7272,and the men’sהָאֲנָשִׁ֖יםha.'a.na.ShimH582feetוְרַגְלֵ֥יve.rag.LeiH7272that were with him.

33And there was setוַיּוּשַׂ֤םvayu.semH3455 H7760meatbefore himלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440to eatלֶאֱכֹ֔לle.'e.KholH398:but he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,I will not eatאֹכַ֔ל'o.KhalH398,until I have toldדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696mine errandדְּבָרָ֑יde.va.RaiH1697.And he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Speak onדַּבֵּֽר׃da.BerH1696.

35And the Lordוַיהוָ֞הva.Yah.wehH3068hath blessedבֵּרַ֧ךְbe.RakhH1288my masterאֲדֹנִ֛י'a.do.NiH113greatlyמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966;and he is become greatוַיִּגְדָּ֑לvai.yig.DalH1431:and he hath givenוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414him flocksצֹ֤אןtzonH6629,and herdsוּבָקָר֙u.va.KarH1241,and silverוְכֶ֣סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701,and goldוְזָהָ֔בve.za.HavH2091,and menservantsוַעֲבָדִם֙va.'a.va.DimH5650,and maidservantsוּשְׁפָחֹ֔תu.she.fa.ChotH8198,and camelsוּגְמַלִּ֖יםu.ge.ma.LimH1581,and assesוַחֲמֹרִֽים׃va.cha.mo.RimH2543.

36And Sarahשָׂרָה֩sa.RahH8283my master’sאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113wifeאֵ֨שֶׁת'E.shetH802bareוַתֵּ֡לֶדva.Te.ledH3205a sonבֵן֙venH1121to my masterלַֽאדֹנִ֔יla.do.NiH113whenאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310she was oldזִקְנָתָ֑הּzik.na.TahH2209:and unto him hath he givenוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414all that he hath.

37And my masterאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113made me swearוַיַּשְׁבִּעֵ֥נִיvai.yash.bi.'E.niH7650,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Thou shalt not takeתִקַּ֤חti.KachH3947a wifeאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802to my sonלִבְנִ֔יliv.NiH1121of the daughtersמִבְּנוֹת֙mi.be.noTH1323of the Canaanitesהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔יha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669,in whose landבְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃be.'ar.TzoH776I dwellיֹשֵׁ֥בyo.ShevH3427:

39And I saidוָאֹמַ֖רva.'o.MarH559unto my masterאֲדֹנִ֑י'a.do.NiH113,Peradventure the womanהָאִשָּׁ֖הha.'i.ShahH802will not followאַחֲרָֽי׃'a.cha.RaiH310 H3212me.
