8And the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430plantedוַיִּטַּ֞עvai.yi.Ta'H5193a gardenגַּן־gan-H1588eastwardמִקֶּ֑דֶםmi.Ke.demH6924in Edenבְעֵ֖דֶןbe.'E.denH5731;and thereשָׁ֔םShamH8033he putוַיָּ֣שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the manהָֽאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he had formedיָצָֽר׃ya.TzarH3335.

10And a riverוְנָהָר֙ve.na.HarH5104went outיֹצֵ֣אyo.Tze'H3318of Edenמֵעֵ֔דֶןme.'E.denH5731to waterלְהַשְׁק֖וֹתle.hash.KotH8248the gardenהַגָּ֑ןha.GanH1588;and from thence it was partedיִפָּרֵ֔דyi.pa.RedH6504,and became into fourלְאַרְבָּעָ֥הle.'ar.ba.'AhH702headsרָאשִֽׁים׃ra.ShimH7218.

11The nameשֵׁ֥םshemH8034of the firstהָֽאֶחָ֖דha.'e.ChadH259isPisonפִּישׁ֑וֹןpi.ShonH6376:thatה֣וּאhu'H1931isit which compassethהַסֹּבֵ֗בha.so.VevH5437the whole landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Havilahהַֽחֲוִילָ֔הha.cha.vi.LahH2341,whereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834there isgoldהַזָּהָֽב׃ha.za.HavH2091;

12And the goldוּֽזֲהַ֛בu.za.HavH2091of thatהַהִ֖ואha.Hiv'H1931landהָאָ֥רֶץha.'A.retzH776isgoodט֑וֹבTovH2896: there isbdelliumהַבְּדֹ֖לַחha.be.Do.lachH916and the onyxהַשֹּֽׁהַם׃ha.Sho.hamH7718stoneוְאֶ֥בֶןve.'E.venH68.

13And the nameוְשֵֽׁם־ve.shem-H8034of the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֖יha.she.NiH8145riverהַנָּהָ֥רha.na.HarH5104isGihonגִּיח֑וֹןgi.ChonH1521: the same isit that compassethהַסּוֹבֵ֔בha.so.VevH5437the whole landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Ethiopiaכּֽוּשׁ׃KushH3568.
