1Then I liftedH5375up my eyesH5869and sawH7200 H2009a manאִ֑ישׁ'IshH376with a measuringמִדָּֽה׃mi.DahH4060lineחֶ֥בֶלChe.velH2256in his handוּבְיָד֖וֹu.ve.ya.DoH3027.

2“Whereאָ֖נָה'A.nahH575are youאַתָּ֣ה'a.TahH859goingהֹלֵ֑ךְho.LekhH1980?”I askedH559. “To measureלָמֹד֙la.ModH4058H853JerusalemH3389,”he repliedH559 H413, “and to determineלִרְא֥וֹתlir.'otH7200 H4100its widthרָחְבָּ֖הּra.che.BahH7341 H4100and lengthאָרְכָּֽהּ׃'a.re.KahH753.”

3Thenוְהִנֵּ֗הve.hi.NehH2009the angelהַמַּלְאָ֛ךְha.mal.'AkhH4397who was speakingהַדֹּבֵ֥רha.do.VerH1696with mewent forthיֹצֵ֑אyo.Tze'H3318,and anotherאַחֵ֔ר'a.CherH312angelוּמַלְאָ֣ךְu.mal.'AkhH4397came forwardיֹצֵ֖אyo.Tze'H3318to meet himלִקְרָאתֽוֹ׃lik.ra.ToH7122

4and saidH559to himH413, “Runרֻ֗ץRutzH7323and tellדַּבֵּ֛רda.BerH1696 H413thatהַלָּ֖זha.LazH1975 H559young manהַנַּ֥עַרha.Na.'arH5288: ‘Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389will be a cityתֵּשֵׁ֣בte.ShevH3427without wallsפְּרָזוֹת֙pe.ra.zOtH6519because of the multitudeמֵרֹ֥בme.RoH7230of menאָדָ֛ם'a.DamH120and livestockוּבְהֵמָ֖הu.ve.he.MahH929within itבְּתוֹכָֽהּ׃be.to.KhahH8432.

5For Iוַאֲנִ֤יva.'a.NiH589will beאֶֽהְיֶה־'eh.yeh-H1961a wallח֥וֹמַתCho.matH2346of fireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784around itסָבִ֑יבsa.VivH5439,declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and I will beאֶֽהְיֶ֥ה'eh.YehH1961the gloryוּלְכָב֖וֹדu.le.kha.VodH3519within itבְתוֹכָֽהּ׃ פve.to.KhahH8432.’”

6“Get upה֣וֹיHoH1945!Get upה֗וֹיHoH1945!Fleeוְנֻ֛סוּve.Nu.suH5127from the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the northצָפ֖וֹןtza.FonH6828,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, “forכִּ֠יkiH3588I have scatteredפֵּרַ֥שְׂתִּיpe.Ras.tiH6566H853you like the fourכְּאַרְבַּ֞עke.'ar.Ba'H702windsרוּח֧וֹתru.ChotH7307of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֛יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

7“Get upה֥וֹיHoH1945,O Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726!Escapeהִמָּלְטִ֑יhi.mal.TiH4422,you who dwellיוֹשֶׁ֖בֶתyo.She.vetH3427with the Daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Babylonבָּבֶֽל׃ סba.VelH894!”

8Forכִּ֣יkiH3588this is whatכֹ֣הkhohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָאוֹת֒ אַחַ֣רtze.va.'Ot 'a.CharH6635 H310saysH559: “After His Gloryכָּב֔וֹדka.VodH3519has sent Meשְׁלָחַ֕נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971againstH413the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471that have plundered youהַשֹּׁלְלִ֣יםha.sho.le.LimH7997אֶתְכֶ֑ם'et.KhemH853—forכִּ֚יkiH3588whoever touchesהַנֹּגֵ֣עַha.no.Ge.a'H5060youtouchesנֹגֵ֖עַno.Ge.a'H5060the appleבְּבָבַ֥תbe.va.VatH892of His eyeעֵינֽוֹ׃ei.NoH5869—

9כִּ֠יkiH3588I will surelyהִנְנִ֨יhi.NiH2005waveמֵנִ֤יףme.NifH5130אֶת־'et-H853My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027over themעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם'a.lei.HemH5921,so that they will becomeH1961plunderשָׁלָ֖לsha.LalH7998for their own servantsלְעַבְדֵיהֶ֑םle.'av.dei.HemH5650.Then you will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֕םvi.da'.TemH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDH3068of Hostsצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635has sent Meשְׁלָחָֽנִי׃ סshe.la.Cha.niH7971.”

10“Shout for joyרָנִּ֥יra.NiH7442and be gladוְשִׂמְחִ֖יve.sim.ChiH8055,O Daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Zionצִיּ֑וֹןtzi.YonH6726,forהִנְנִי־hi.ni-H3588 H2005I am comingבָ֛אva'H935to dwellוְשָׁכַנְתִּ֥יve.sha.khan.TiH7931among youבְתוֹכֵ֖ךְve.to.KhekhH8432,”declaresH5002the LORDH3068.
