11Then the angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068cameוַיָּבֹ֞אvai.ya.Vo'H935and sat downוַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙vai.Ye.shevH3427underתַּ֤חַתTa.chatH8478the oakהָֽאֵלָה֙ha.'e.LahH424אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834in Ophrahבְּעָפְרָ֔הbe.'a.fe.RahH6084thatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834belonged to Joashלְיוֹאָ֖שׁle.yo.'AshH3101the AbiezriteH33,where his sonבְּנ֗וֹbe.NoH1121Gideonוְגִדְע֣וֹןve.gid.'onH1439was threshingחֹבֵ֤טcho.VetH2251wheatחִטִּים֙chi.TimH2406in a winepressבַּגַּ֔תba.GatH1660to hide itלְהָנִ֖יסle.ha.NisH5127fromמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440the Midianitesמִדְיָֽן׃mid.YanH4080.
12And the angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֥אvai.ye.Ra'H7200toאֵלָ֖יו'e.LavH413Gideonand saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֔יוvai.Yo.mer 'e.LavH559H413, “The LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068is with youעִמְּךָ֖'i.me.KhaH5973,O mighty manגִּבּ֥וֹרgi.BorH1368of valorהֶחָֽיִל׃he.Cha.yilH2428.”
13“Pleaseבִּ֣יbiH994,my Lordאֲדֹנִ֔י'a.do.NiH113,”Gideonגִּדְעוֹן֙gid.'OnH1439repliedוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֵלָ֤יו'e.LavH413, “if the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068isוְיֵ֤שׁve.YeshH3426with usעִמָּ֔נוּ'i.Ma.nuH5973,whyוְלָ֥מָּהve.La.mahH4100has allכָּל־kol-H3605thisזֹ֑אתZotH2063happened to usמְצָאַ֖תְנוּme.tza.'At.nuH4672?And whereוְאַיֵּ֣הve.'ai.YehH346are allכָֽל־khol-H3605His wondersנִפְלְאֹתָ֡יוnif.le.'o.TavH6381of whichאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834our fathersאֲבוֹתֵ֜ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1toldסִפְּרוּ־si.pe.ru-H5608us,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, ‘Has notהֲלֹ֤אha.Lo'H3808the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068brought us upהֶעֱלָ֣נוּhe.'e.La.nuH5927out of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714?’But nowוְעַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH6258the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068has forsaken usנְטָשָׁ֣נוּne.ta.Sha.nuH5203and delivered usוַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖נוּvai.yi.te.Ne.nuH5414into the handבְּכַף־be.khaf-H3709of Midianמִדְיָֽן׃mid.YanH4080.”
14The LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068turnedוַיִּ֤פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437to himאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Goלֵ֚ךְlekhH1980in the strength you haveבְּכֹחֲךָ֣ זֶ֔הbe.kho.cha.Kha ZehH3581H2088and saveוְהוֹשַׁעְתָּ֥ve.ho.sha'.TaH3467אֶת־'et-H853Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478from the handמִכַּ֣ףmi.KafH3709of Midianמִדְיָ֑ןmid.YanH4080.Am I notהֲלֹ֖אha.Lo'H3808sending youשְׁלַחְתִּֽיךָ׃she.lach.Ti.khaH7971?”
15“Pleaseבִּ֣יbiH994,my Lordאֲדֹנָ֔י'a.do.NaiH136,” Gideonrepliedוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413, “howבַּמָּ֥הba.MahH4100can I saveאוֹשִׁ֖יעַ'o.Shi.a'H3467אֶת־'et-H853Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478?Indeedהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009,my clanאַלְפִּי֙'al.PiH505is the weakestהַדַּ֣לha.DalH1800in Manassehבִּמְנַשֶּׁ֔הbim.na.ShehH4519,and Iוְאָנֹכִ֥יve.'a.no.KhiH595am the youngestהַצָּעִ֖ירha.tza.'IrH6810in my father’sאָבִֽי׃'a.ViH1houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004.”
16“Surelyכִּ֥יkiH3588I will beאֶהְיֶ֖ה'eh.YehH1961with youעִמָּ֑ךְ'i.MakhH5973,”the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068repliedוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413, “and you will strike downוְהִכִּיתָ֥ve.hi.ki.TaH5221allthe Midianitesמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080אֶת־'et-H853as oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259manכְּאִ֥ישׁke.'IshH376.”
17Gideon answeredוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֵלָ֔יו'e.LavH413, “Ifאִם־ נָ֛א'im- na'H518H4994I have foundמָצָ֥אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672favorחֵ֖ןchenH2580in Your sightבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,giveוְעָשִׂ֤יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213mea signא֔וֹת'otH226that it is Youשָׁאַתָּ֖הsha.'a.TahH859speakingמְדַבֵּ֥רme.da.BerH1696with meעִמִּֽי׃'i.MiH5973.
18Pleaseנָ֨אna'H4994do notאַל־'al-H408departתָמֻ֤שׁta.MushH4185from thisמִזֶּה֙mi.ZehH2088placeuntilעַד־'ad-H5704I returnבֹּאִ֣יbo.'IH935to Youאֵלֶ֔יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413.Let me bringוְהֹֽצֵאתִי֙ve.ho.tze.TiH3318אֶת־'et-H853my offeringמִנְחָתִ֔יmin.cha.TiH4503and setוְהִנַּחְתִּ֖יve.hi.nach.TiH5117itbefore Youלְפָנֶ֑יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440.”And the LORD saidוַיֹּאמַ֕רvai.yo.MarH559, “Iאָנֹכִ֥י'a.no.KhiH595will stayאֵשֵׁ֖ב'e.ShevH3427untilעַ֥ד'adH5704you returnשׁוּבֶֽךָ׃shu.Ve.khaH7725.”
19So Gideonוְגִדְע֣וֹןve.gid.'onH1439went inבָּ֗אBa'H935and preparedוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a young goatגְּדִֽי־ עִזִּים֙ge.di- 'i.ZimH1423H5795and unleavened breadמַצּ֔וֹתma.TzotH4682and an ephahוְאֵיפַת־ve.'ei.fat-H374of flourקֶ֣מַחKe.machH7058.He placedשָׂ֣םsamH7760the meatהַבָּשָׂר֙ha.ba.SarH1320in a basketבַּסַּ֔לba.SalH5536and the brothוְהַמָּרַ֖ק שָׂ֣םve.ha.ma.Rak samH4839H7760in a potבַּפָּר֑וּרba.pa.RurH6517and brought them outוַיּוֹצֵ֥אvai.yo.Tze'H3318to presentוַיַּגַּֽשׁ׃ סvai.ya.GashH5066to Himאֵלָ֛יו'e.LavH413אֶל־'el-H413underתַּ֥חַתTa.chatH8478the oakהָאֵלָ֖הha.'e.LahH424.
