11And there cameוַיָּבֹ֞אvai.ya.Vo'H935an angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,and satוַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙vai.Ye.shevH3427under an oakהָֽאֵלָה֙ha.'e.LahH424which wasin Ophrahבְּעָפְרָ֔הbe.'a.fe.RahH6084, that pertainedunto Joashלְיוֹאָ֖שׁle.yo.'AshH3101the Abi–ezriteH33:and his sonבְּנ֗וֹbe.NoH1121Gideonוְגִדְע֣וֹןve.gid.'onH1439threshedחֹבֵ֤טcho.VetH2251wheatחִטִּים֙chi.TimH2406by the winepressבַּגַּ֔תba.GatH1660,to hideלְהָנִ֖יסle.ha.NisH5127itfromמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440the Midianitesמִדְיָֽן׃mid.YanH4080.

12And the angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֥אvai.ye.Ra'H7200unto him, and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, The Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068iswith thee, thou mightyגִּבּ֥וֹרgi.BorH1368man of valourהֶחָֽיִל׃he.Cha.yilH2428.

13And Gideonגִּדְעוֹן֙gid.'OnH1439saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Ohבִּ֣יbiH994my Lordאֲדֹנִ֔י'a.do.NiH113,ifוְיֵ֤שׁve.YeshH3426the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068be with us, why then is all this befallenמְצָאַ֖תְנוּme.tza.'At.nuH4672us? and where beall his miraclesנִפְלְאֹתָ֡יוnif.le.'o.TavH6381which our fathersאֲבוֹתֵ֜ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1toldסִפְּרוּ־si.pe.ru-H5608us of, sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,Did not the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068bring us upהֶעֱלָ֣נוּhe.'e.La.nuH5927from Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714?but now the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hath forsakenנְטָשָׁ֣נוּne.ta.Sha.nuH5203us, and deliveredוַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖נוּvai.yi.te.Ne.nuH5414us into the handsבְּכַף־be.khaf-H3709of the Midianitesמִדְיָֽן׃mid.YanH4080.

14And the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068lookedוַיִּ֤פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437upon him, and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,GoH3212in this thy mightבְּכֹחֲךָ֣be.kho.cha.KhaH3581,and thou shalt saveוְהוֹשַׁעְתָּ֥ve.ho.sha'.TaH3467Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478from the handמִכַּ֣ףmi.KafH3709of the Midianitesמִדְיָ֑ןmid.YanH4080:have not I sentשְׁלַחְתִּֽיךָ׃she.lach.Ti.khaH7971thee?

15And he saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Ohבִּ֣יbiH994my Lordאֲדֹנָ֔י'a.do.NaiH136,wherewithבַּמָּ֥הba.MahH4100shall I saveאוֹשִׁ֖יעַ'o.Shi.a'H3467Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478?behold, my familyאַלְפִּי֙'al.PiH505 H504ispoorהַדַּ֣לha.DalH1800in Manassehבִּמְנַשֶּׁ֔הbim.na.ShehH4519, and I amthe leastהַצָּעִ֖ירha.tza.'IrH6810in my father’sאָבִֽי׃'a.ViH1houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004.

16And the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smiteוְהִכִּיתָ֥ve.hi.ki.TaH5221the Midianitesמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080as oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259manכְּאִ֥ישׁke.'IshH376.

17And he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, If now I have foundמָצָ֥אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672graceחֵ֖ןchenH2580in thy sightבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,then shewוְעָשִׂ֤יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213me a signא֔וֹת'otH226that thou talkestמְדַבֵּ֥רme.da.BerH1696with me.

18Departתָמֻ֤שׁta.MushH4185not hence, I pray thee, until I comeבֹּאִ֣יbo.'IH935unto thee, and bring forthוְהֹֽצֵאתִי֙ve.ho.tze.TiH3318my presentמִנְחָתִ֔יmin.cha.TiH4503,and setH3240itbeforeלְפָנֶ֑יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee. And he saidוַיֹּאמַ֕רvai.yo.MarH559,I will tarryאֵשֵׁ֖ב'e.ShevH3427until thou come againשׁוּבֶֽךָ׃shu.Ve.khaH7725.

19And Gideonוְגִדְע֣וֹןve.gid.'onH1439went inבָּ֗אBa'H935,and made readyוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a kidגְּדִֽי־ עִזִּים֙ge.di- 'i.ZimH1423 H5795,and unleavened cakesמַצּ֔וֹתma.TzotH4682of an ephahוְאֵיפַת־ve.'ei.fat-H374of flourקֶ֣מַחKe.machH7058:the fleshהַבָּשָׂר֙ha.ba.SarH1320he putשָׂ֣םsamH7760in a basketבַּסַּ֔לba.SalH5536,and he putשָׂ֣םsamH7760the brothוְהַמָּרַ֖קve.ha.ma.RakH4839in a potבַּפָּר֑וּרba.pa.RurH6517, and brought itoutוַיּוֹצֵ֥אvai.yo.Tze'H3318unto him under the oakהָאֵלָ֖הha.'e.LahH424,and presentedוַיַּגַּֽשׁ׃ סvai.ya.GashH5066it.
