12Then Jephthahיִפְתָּח֙yif.TachH3316sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֔יםmal.'a.KhimH4397toאֶל־'el-H413the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of the Ammonitesבְּנֵֽי־ עַמּ֖וֹןbe.nei- a.MonH1121H5983,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Whatמַה־mah-H4100do you have against methatכִּֽי־ki-H3588you have comeבָ֥אתָVa.taH935to fightלְהִלָּחֵ֥םle.hi.la.ChemH3898againstאֵלַ֖י'e.LaiH413my landבְּאַרְצִֽי׃be.'ar.TziH776?”

16Butכִּ֖יkiH3588when Israel came upבַּעֲלוֹתָ֣םba.'a.lo.TamH5927out of Egyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714, theyיִשְׂרָאֵ֤לYis.ra.'ElH3478traveledוַיֵּ֨לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980through the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּר֙ba.mid.BarH4057toעַד־'ad-H5704the Redס֔וּףSufH5488Seaיַם־yam-H3220and cameוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Kadeshקָדֵֽשָׁה׃ka.De.shahH6946.
