18The Israelitesבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478set outוַיָּקֻ֜מוּvai.ya.Ku.muH6965,went upוַיַּעֲל֣וּvai.ya.'a.LuH5927to BethelH1008,and inquiredוַיִּשְׁאֲל֣וּvai.yish.'a.LuH7592of Godבֵאלֹהִים֒ve.lo.HimH430וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559, “Whoמִ֚יmiH4310of usshall go upיַעֲלֶה־ya.'a.leh-H5927firstבַתְּחִלָּ֔הva.te.chi.LahH8462to fightלַמִּלְחָמָ֖הla.mil.cha.MahH4421againstעִם־'im-H5973the Benjamitesבְּנֵ֣י בִנְיָמִ֑ןbe.Nei vin.ya.MinH1121H1144?” “Judah will be firstיְהוּדָ֥ה בַתְּחִלָּֽה׃ye.hu.Dah va.te.chi.LahH3063H8462,”the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068repliedוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559.
20And the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478went outוַיֵּצֵא֙vai.ye.Tze'H3318to fightלַמִּלְחָמָ֖הla.mil.cha.MahH4421againstעִם־'im-H5973Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֑ן אִֽישׁ־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛לbin.ya.Min 'ish- Yis.ra.'ElH1144H376H3478and took up their battleמִלְחָמָ֖ה אֶל־mil.cha.Mah 'el-H4421H413positionsוַיַּעַרְכ֨וּvai.ya.'ar.KhuH6186אִתָּ֧ם'i.TamH854at Gibeahהַגִּבְעָֽה׃ha.giv.'AhH1390.
21And the Benjamitesבְנֵֽי־ בִנְיָמִ֖ןve.nei- vin.ya.MinH1121H1144came outוַיֵּצְא֥וּvai.ye.tze.'UH3318ofמִן־min-H4480Gibeahהַגִּבְעָ֑הha.giv.'AhH1390and cut downוַיַּשְׁחִ֨יתוּvai.yash.Chi.tuH784322,000שְׁנַ֨יִם וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים אֶ֛לֶףshe.Na.yim ve.'es.Rim 'E.lefH8147H6242H505Israelitesבְיִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אִ֖ישׁve.Yis.ra.'El 'ishH376H3478on the battlefieldאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776thatהַה֗וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117.
22But the Israeliteאִ֣ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל'ish Yis.ra.'ElH376H3478armyהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971took courageוַיִּתְחַזֵּ֥קvai.yit.cha.ZekH2388and againוַיֹּסִ֙פוּ֙vai.yo.Si.fuH3254took their battleמִלְחָמָ֔הmil.cha.MahH4421positionsלַעֲרֹ֣ךְla.'a.RokhH6186in the same placeבַּמָּק֕וֹםba.ma.KomH4725whereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they had arrayed themselvesעָ֥רְכוּ שָׁ֖ם'A.re.khu shamH6186H8033on the firstהָרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ha.ri.ShonH7223dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117.
23Theyבְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗לve.nei- Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478went upוַיַּעֲל֣וּvai.ya.'a.LuH5927and weptוַיִּבְכּ֣וּvai.yiv.KuH1058beforeלִפְנֵֽי־lif.nei-H6440the LORDיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעֶרֶב֒ha.'e.RevH6153,inquiringוַיִּשְׁאֲל֤וּvai.yish.'a.LuH7592of Himבַֽיהוָה֙ba.Yah.wehH3068לֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Should we againהַאוֹסִ֗יףha.'o.SifH3254draw nearלָגֶ֙שֶׁת֙la.Ge.shetH5066for battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֔הla.mil.cha.MahH4421againstעִם־'im-H5973our brothersאָחִ֑י'a.ChiH251the Benjamitesבְּנֵ֥י בִנְיָמִ֖ןbe.Nei vin.ya.MinH1121H1144?”And the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068answeredוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Go upעֲל֥וּ'a.LuH5927against themאֵלָֽיו׃ פ'e.LavH413.”
