16In thoseהָהֵם֙ha.HemH1992daysבַּיָּמִ֤יםbai.ya.MimH3117Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063will be savedתִּוָּשַׁ֣עti.va.Sha'H3467,and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389will dwell securelyתִּשְׁכּ֣וֹן לָבֶ֑טַחtish.Kon la.Ve.tachH7931 H983,and thisוְזֶ֥הve.ZehH2088is the nameאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834by which it will be calledיִקְרָא־yik.ra'-H7121:The LORDיְהוָ֥ה׀Yah.wehH3068Our Righteousnessצִדְקֵֽנוּ׃ סtzid.Ke.nuH6664.

17Forכִּי־ki-H3588this is whatכֹ֖הkhohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:Davidלְדָוִ֔דle.da.VidH1732will neverלֹֽא־lo'-H3808lackיִכָּרֵ֣תyi.ka.RetH3772a manאִ֕ישׁ'ishH376to sitיֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427onעַל־'al-H5921the throneכִּסֵּ֥אki.Se'H3678of the houseבֵֽית־veit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478,

18norלֹֽא־lo'-H3808will the priestsוְלַכֹּהֲנִים֙ve.la.ko.ha.NimH3548who are Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881everכָּל־ הַיָּמִֽים׃ סkol- hai.ya.MimH3605 H3117failיִכָּרֵ֥תyi.ka.RetH3772to have a manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376before Meמִלְּפָנָ֑יmi.le.fa.NaiH6440to offerמַעֲלֶ֨הma.'a.LehH5927burnt offeringsעוֹלָ֜הo.LahH5930,to burnוּמַקְטִ֥ירu.mak.TirH6999grain offeringsמִנְחָ֛הmin.ChahH4503,and to presentוְעֹ֥שֶׂה־ve.'o.seh-H6213sacrificesזֶּ֖בַחZe.vachH2077.”

19And the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961toאֶֽל־'el-H413Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֽוֹר׃yir.me.Ya.hu le.MorH3414 H559:

20“This is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:Ifאִם־'im-H518you can breakתָּפֵ֙רוּ֙ta.Fe.ruH6565אֶת־'et-H853My covenantבְּרִיתִ֣יbe.ri.TiH1285with the dayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and My covenantבְּרִיתִ֖יbe.ri.TiH1285with the nightהַלָּ֑יְלָהha.La.ye.lahH3915,so that dayיֽוֹמָם־yo.mom-H3119and nightוָלַ֖יְלָהva.Lay.lahH3915ceaseוּלְבִלְתִּ֛יu.le.vil.TiH1115to occupyהֱי֥וֹתhe.YotH1961their appointed timeבְּעִתָּֽם׃be.'i.TamH6256,

21then My covenantבְּרִיתִ֤יbe.ri.TiH1285may alsoגַּם־gam-H1571be brokenתֻפַר֙tu.FarH6565withאֶת־'et-H854Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732My servantעַבְדִּ֔י'av.DiH5650and withוְאֶת־ve.'EtH854My ministersמְשָׁרְתָֽי׃me.sha.re.TaiH8334the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֥םhal.vi.YimH3881who are priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548,so that David will not haveמִהְיֽוֹת־mih.yot-H1961a sonבֵ֖ןvenH1121to reignמֹלֵ֣ךְmo.LekhH4427onעַל־'al-H5921his throneכִּסְא֑וֹkis.'OH3678.

24“Have you notהֲל֣וֹאha.Lo'H3808noticedרָאִ֗יתָra.'I.taH7200whatמָֽה־mah-H4100theseהַזֶּה֙ha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֤םha.'AmH5971are sayingדִּבְּר֣וּ לֵאמֹ֔רdi.be.Ru le.MorH1696 H559: ‘The LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has rejectedוַיִּמְאָסֵ֑םvai.yim.'a.SemH3988וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853the twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147familiesהַמִּשְׁפָּח֗וֹתha.mish.pa.ChotH4940אֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834He had chosenבָּחַ֧רba.CharH977’?So they despiseיִנְאָצ֔וּןyin.'a.TzunH5006My peopleעַמִּי֙'a.MiH5971and no longerע֖וֹדodH5750regard themמִֽהְי֥וֹתmih.YotH1961as a nationגּ֥וֹיGoyH1471לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃ סlif.nei.HemH6440.

25This is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:Ifאִם־'im-H518לֹ֥אlo'H3808I have notלֹא־lo'-H3808establishedשָֽׂמְתִּי׃Sa.me.tiH7760My covenantבְרִיתִ֖יve.ri.TiH1285with the dayיוֹמָ֣םyo.MamH3119and the nightוָלָ֑יְלָהva.La.ye.lahH3915and the fixed orderחֻקּ֛וֹתchu.KotH2708of heavenשָׁמַ֥יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and earthוָאָ֖רֶץva.'A.retzH776,

26then I would alsoגַּם־gam-H1571rejectאֶמְאַ֗ס'em.'AsH3988the descendantsזֶ֣רַעZe.ra'H2233of Jacobיַעֲקוֹב֩ya.'a.kOvH3290and of My servantעַבְדִּ֜י'av.DiH5650Davidוְדָוִ֨דve.da.VidH1732,so as not to takeמִקַּ֤חַתmi.Ka.chatH3947from his descendantsמִזַּרְעוֹ֙mi.zar.'OH2233rulersמֹֽשְׁלִ֔יםmo.she.LimH4910overאֶל־'el-H413the descendantsזֶ֥רַעZe.ra'H2233of Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacיִשְׂחָ֣קyis.ChakH3446,and Jacobוְיַעֲקֹ֑בve.ya.'a.KoH3290.Forכִּֽי־ki-H3588I will restore themאָשִׁ֥יב'a.shuvH7725אֶת־'et-H853from captivityשְׁבוּתָ֖םshe.vu.TamH7622and will have compassion on themוְרִחַמְתִּֽים׃ סve.ri.cham.TimH7355.”
