5This wasin order toלְמַעַן֩le.ma.'AnH4616establishהָקִ֨יםha.KimH6965אֶת־'et-H853the oathהַשְּׁבוּעָ֜הha.she.vu.'AhH7621אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I sworeנִשְׁבַּ֣עְתִּיnish.Ba'.tiH7650to your forefathersלַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗םla.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,to give themלָתֵ֤תla.TetH5414a landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776flowingזָבַ֥תza.VatH2100with milkחָלָ֛בcha.LavH2461and honeyוּדְבַ֖שׁu.de.VashH1706,as it is to this dayכַּיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑הkai.Yom ha.ZehH3117 H2088.” “Amenאָמֵ֥ן׀'a.MenH543,LORDיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068,”I answeredוָאַ֥עַן וָאֹמַ֖רva.'A.'an va.'o.MarH6030 H559.

6Then the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413, “Proclaimקְרָ֨אke.Ra'H7121אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֤יםha.de.va.RimH1697in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063and in the streetsוּבְחֻצ֥וֹתu.ve.chu.TzotH2351of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559:Hearשִׁמְע֗וּshim.'UH8085אֶת־'et-H853the wordsדִּבְרֵי֙div.ReiH1697of thisהַזֹּ֔אתha.ZotH2063covenantהַבְּרִ֣יתha.be.RitH1285and carry them outוַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖םva.'a.si.TemH6213אוֹתָֽם׃'o.TamH853.

7Forכִּי֩kiH3588from the timeבְּיוֹם֩be.yOmH3117I broughtהַעֲלוֹתִ֨יha.'a.lo.TiH5927your fathersבַּאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗םba.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1אוֹתָ֜ם'o.TamH853out of the landמֵאֶ֤רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714untilוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704todayהַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔הhai.Yom ha.ZehH3117 H2088,I strongly warned themH5749again and againהַשְׁכֵּ֥םhash.KemH7925 H5749,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Obeyשִׁמְע֖וּshim.'UH8085My voiceבְּקוֹלִֽי׃be.ko.LiH6963.’

8Yet they wouldוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808obeyשָֽׁמְעוּ֙sha.me.'UH8085or inclineהִטּ֣וּhi.TuH5186אֶת־'et-H853their earsאָזְנָ֔ם'a.ze.NamH241,but each oneאִ֕ישׁ'ishH376followedוַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּvai.Ye.le.KhuH1980the stubbornnessבִּשְׁרִיר֖וּתbish.ri.RutH8307of his evilהָרָ֑עha.Ra'H7451heartלִבָּ֣םli.BamH3820.So I broughtוָאָבִ֨יאva.'a.Vi'H935onעֲלֵיהֶ֜ם'a.lei.HemH5921themאֶֽת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605the cursesדִּבְרֵ֧יdiv.ReiH1697of thisהַזֹּ֛אתha.ZotH2063covenantהַבְּרִית־ha.be.rit-H1285אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I had commanded themצִוִּ֥יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680to followלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213but they did not keepוְלֹ֥א עָשֽׂוּ׃ סve.Lo' 'a.SuH6213 H3808.”
