28Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588a manאִ֗ישׁ'IshH376encountersיִמְצָ֣אyim.Tza'H4672a virginנַעֲרָ֤ה בְתוּלָה֙na.'ar ve.tu.LahH5291H1330whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834is notלֹא־lo'-H3808pledged in marriageאֹרָ֔שָׂה'o.Ra.sahH781,and he seizes herוּתְפָשָׂ֖הּu.te.fa.SahH8610and liesוְשָׁכַ֣בve.sha.KhavH7901with herעִמָּ֑הּ'i.MahH5973,and they are discoveredוְנִמְצָֽאוּ׃ve.nim.Tza.'uH4672,
29then the manהָאִ֨ישׁha.'IshH376who layהַשֹּׁכֵ֥בha.sho.KhevH7901with herעִמָּ֛הּ'i.MahH5973must payוְ֠נָתַןVe.na.tanH5414the young woman’sהַֽנַּעֲרָ֖הha.na.'arH5291fatherלַאֲבִ֥יla.'a.ViH1fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֣יםcha.mi.ShimH2572shekelsof silverכָּ֑סֶףKa.sefH3701, andshe must becomeתִהְיֶ֣הtih.YehH1961his wifeלְאִשָּׁ֗הle.'i.ShahH802becauseתַּ֚חַתTa.chatH8478אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he has violated herעִנָּ֔הּ'i.NahH6031.He must notלֹא־ יוּכַ֥לlo'- yu.KhalH3808H3201divorce herשַׁלְּחָ֖הsha.le.ChahH7971asכָּל־kol-H3605long as he livesיָמָֽיו׃ סya.MavH3117.
