9Then the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַ֗י'e.LaiH413, “Do notאֶל־'el-H413harassתָּ֙צַר֙ta.tzarH6696אֶת־'et-H853the Moabitesמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124orוְאַל־ve.'al-H408provokeתִּתְגָּ֥רtit.GarH1624themto warמִלְחָמָ֑הmil.cha.MahH4421,forכִּ֠יkiH3588I will notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808giveאֶתֵּ֨ן'e.TenH5414youany of their landמֵֽאַרְצוֹ֙me.'ar.TzoH776יְרֻשָּׁ֔הye.ru.ShahH3425,becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588I have givenנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414אֶת־'et-H853Arעָ֖ר'arH6144to the descendantsלִבְנֵי־liv.nei-H1121of Lotל֔וֹטLotH3876as their possessionיְרֻשָּֽׁה׃ye.ru.shahH3425.”

10(The Emitesהָאֵמִ֥יםha.'e.MimH368used toלְפָנִ֖יםle.fa.NimH6440liveיָ֣שְׁבוּYa.she.vuH3427there,a peopleעַ֣ם'amH5971greatגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419and manyוְרַ֛בve.RavH7227,as tallוָרָ֖םva.RamH7311as the Anakitesכָּעֲנָקִֽים׃ka.'a.na.KimH6062.

11Like the Anakitesכָּעֲנָקִ֑יםka.'a.na.KimH6062,they were alsoאַף־ הֵ֖ם'af- hemH637 H1992regardedיֵחָשְׁב֥וּye.cha.she.VuH2803as Rephaimרְפָאִ֛יםre.fa.'ImH7497,though the Moabitesוְהַמֹּ֣אָבִ֔יםve.ha.Mo.'a.VimH4125calledיִקְרְא֥וּyik.re.'UH7121themEmitesאֵמִֽים׃'e.MimH368.

12The Horitesהַחֹרִים֮ha.cho.RimH2752used toלְפָנִים֒le.fa.NimH6440liveיָשְׁב֣וּya.she.VuH3427in Seirוּבְשֵׂעִ֞ירu.ve.se.'IrH8165,but the descendantsוּבְנֵ֧יu.ve.NeiH1121of Esauעֵשָׂ֣ו'e.SavH6215drove them outיִֽירָשׁ֗וּםyi.ra.ShumH3423.They destroyedוַיַּשְׁמִידוּם֙vai.yash.mi.DumH8045the Horitesfrom before themמִפְּנֵיהֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.HemH6440and settledוַיֵּשְׁב֖וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427in their placeתַּחְתָּ֑םtach.TamH8478,just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֧רka.'a.SherH834Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478didעָשָׂ֣ה'a.SahH6213in the landלְאֶ֙רֶץ֙le.'E.retzH776thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068gaveנָתַ֥ןna.TanH5414themas their possessionיְרֻשָּׁת֔וֹye.ru.sha.ToH3425.)

13“Nowעַתָּ֗ה'a.TahH6258ariseקֻ֛מוּKu.muH6965and cross overוְעִבְר֥וּve.'iv.RuH5674אֶת־'et-H853the Brookנַ֣חַלNa.chalH5158of Zeredזָ֑רֶדZa.redH2218.”So we crossed overוַֽנַּעֲבֹ֖רva.na.'a.VorH5674אֶת־'et-H853the Brookנַ֥חַלNa.chalH5158of Zeredזָֽרֶד׃Za.redH2218.

14The timeוְהַיָּמִ֞יםve.hai.ya.MimH3117אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834we spent travelingהָלַ֣כְנוּ׀ha.Lakh.nuH1980fromמִקָּדֵ֣שׁmi.ka.DeshH6947Kadesh-barneaבַּרְנֵ֗עַbar.Ne.a'H6947untilעַ֤ד'adH5704אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834we crossed overעָבַ֙רְנוּ֙'a.Var.nuH5674אֶת־'et-H853the Brookנַ֣חַלNa.chalH5158of Zeredזֶ֔רֶדZe.redH2218was thirty-eightשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנֶ֖הshe.lo.Shim u.she.mo.NehH7970 H8083yearsשָׁנָ֑הsha.NahH8141,untilעַד־'ad-H5704that entireכָּל־kol-H3605generationהַדּ֜וֹרha.DorH1755of fightingהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421menאַנְשֵׁ֤י'an.SheiH582had perishedתֹּ֨םtomH8552fromמִקֶּ֣רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הha.ma.cha.NehH4264,asכַּאֲשֶׁ֛רka.'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had swornנִשְׁבַּ֥עnish.Ba'H7650to them.

15Indeedוְגַ֤םve.GamH1571,the LORD’sיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068handיַד־yad-H3027wasהָ֣יְתָהHa.ye.tahH1961against them,to eliminate themלְהֻמָּ֖םle.hu.MamH2000fromמִקֶּ֣רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑הha.ma.cha.NehH4264,untilעַ֖ד'adH5704they had all perishedתֻּמָּֽם׃tu.MamH8552.

16Nowוַיְהִ֨יvay.HiH1961whenכַאֲשֶׁר־ תַּ֜מּוּkha.'a.Sher- Ta.muH834 H8552allכָּל־kol-H3605the fightingהַמִּלְחָמָ֛הha.mil.cha.MahH4421menאַנְשֵׁ֧י'an.SheiH582amongמִקֶּ֥רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the peopleהָעָֽם׃ סha.'AmH5971had diedלָמ֖וּתla.MutH4191,

17the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saidוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to meאֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃'e.Lai le.MorH413 H559,

18“Todayהַיּ֛וֹםhai.YomH3117אֶת־'et-H853youאַתָּ֨ה'a.TahH859are going to crossעֹבֵ֥ר'o.VerH5674the borderגְּב֥וּלge.VulH1366of Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124אֶת־'et-H853at Arעָֽר׃'ArH6144.

19But when you get closeוְקָרַבְתָּ֗ve.ka.rav.TaH7126toמ֚וּלmulH4136the Ammonitesבְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹןbe.Nei a.MonH1121 H5983,do notאַל־'al-H408harass themתְּצֻרֵ֖ם וְאַל־te.tzu.Rem ve.'al-H6696 H408or provokeתִּתְגָּ֣רtit.GarH1624them,forכִּ֣יkiH3588I will notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808giveאֶ֠תֵּן'E.tenH5414youany of the landמֵאֶ֨רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the Ammonitesבְּנֵי־ עַמּ֤וֹןbe.nei- a.MonH1121 H5983יְרֻשָּׁ֔הye.ru.ShahH3425כִּ֥יkiH3588.I have given itנְתַתִּ֥יהָne.ta.Ti.haH5414to the descendantsלִבְנֵי־liv.nei-H1121of Lotל֖וֹטLotH3876as their possessionיְרֻשָּֽׁה׃ye.ru.ShahH3425.”
