2Thisוְזֶה֮ve.ZehH2088is the mannerדְּבַ֣רde.VarH1697of remissionהַשְּׁמִטָּה֒ha.she.mi.TahH8059:Everyכָּל־kol-H3605creditorבַּ֙עַל֙ מַשֵּׁ֣ה יָד֔וֹba.'al ma.Sheh ya.DoH1167H4874H3027shall cancelשָׁמ֗וֹטsha.MotH8058whatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he has loanedיַשֶּׁ֖הya.ShehH5383to his neighborבְּרֵעֵ֑הוּbe.re.'E.huH7453.He is notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808to collectיִגֹּ֤שׂyi.GosH5065anythingאֶת־'et-H853from his neighborרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙re.'E.huH7453וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853or brotherאָחִ֔יו'a.ChivH251,becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORD’sלַֽיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068time of releaseשְׁמִטָּ֖הshe.mi.TahH8059has been proclaimedקָרָ֥אka.Ra'H7121.
4There will beיִֽהְיֶה־yih.yeh-H1961noלֹ֥אlo'H3808poorאֶבְי֑וֹן'ev.YonH34among you,howeverאֶ֕פֶס כִּ֛י'E.fes kiH657H3588,becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will surely bless youH1288in the landבָּאָ֕רֶץba.'A.retzH776thatאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430is givingנֹֽתֵן־no.ten-H5414youto possessלְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃le.rish.TahH3423as an inheritanceנַחֲלָ֖הna.cha.LahH5159,
5ifאִם־'im-H518onlyרַ֚קrakH7535you obeyבְּק֖וֹלbe.KolH8085H6963the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430and are carefulלִשְׁמֹ֤רlish.MorH8104to followלַעֲשׂוֹת֙la.'a.sOtH6213אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהַזֹּ֔אתha.ZotH2063אֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834commandmentsהַמִּצְוָ֣הha.mitz.VahH4687Iאָנֹכִ֥י'a.no.KhiH595am giving you todayמְצַוְּךָ֖ הַיּֽוֹם׃me.tza.ve.Kha hai.YomH6680H3117.
6כִּֽי־ki-H3588When the LORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430blesses youבֵּֽרַכְךָ֔be.rakh.KhaH1288asכַּאֲשֶׁ֖רka.'a.SherH834He has promisedדִּבֶּר־di.ber-H1696,you will lendוְהַֽעֲבַטְתָּ֞ve.ha.'a.va.TaH5670to manyרַבִּ֗ים וְאַתָּה֙ra.Bim ve.'a.TahH7227H859nationsגּוֹיִ֣םgo.YimH1471but borrowתַעֲבֹ֔טta.'a.VotH5670from noneלֹ֣אlo'H3808;you will ruleוּמָֽשַׁלְתָּ֙u.ma.shal.TaH4910over manyרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227nationsבְּגוֹיִ֣םbe.go.YimH1471but be ruledיִמְשֹֽׁלוּ׃ סyim.Sho.luH4910by noneלֹ֥אlo'H3808.
7Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588there isיִהְיֶה֩yih.YehH1961a poor manאֶבְי֜וֹן'ev.YonH34amongמֵאַחַ֤דme.'a.ChadH259your brothersאַחֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Chei.khaH251within anyבְּאַחַ֣דbe.'a.ChadH259of the gatesשְׁעָרֶ֔יךָshe.'a.Rei.khaH8179in the landבְּאַ֨רְצְךָ֔be.'Ar.tze.khaH776thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430is givingנֹתֵ֣ןno.TenH5414you,then you are notלֹ֧אlo'H3808to hardenתְאַמֵּ֣ץte.'a.MetzH553אֶת־'et-H853your heartלְבָבְךָ֗le.va.ve.KhaH3824orוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808shutתִקְפֹּץ֙tik.PotzH7092אֶת־'et-H853your handיָ֣דְךָ֔ya.de.khaH3027from your poorהָאֶבְיֽוֹן׃ha.'ev.YonH34brotherמֵאָחִ֖יךָme.'a.Chi.khaH251.
9Be carefulהִשָּׁ֣מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104not to harborפֶּן־ יִהְיֶ֣הpen- yih.YehH6435H1961this wickedבְלִיַּ֜עַל לֵאמֹ֗רve.li.Ya.'al le.MorH1100H559thoughtדָבָר֩da.VarH1697inעִם־'im-H5973your heartלְבָבְךָ֨le.va.ve.KhaH3824: “The seventhהַשֶּׁבַע֮ha.she.Va'H7651yearשְׁנַֽת־she.nat-H8141,the yearשְׁנַ֣תshe.NatH8141of releaseהַשְּׁמִטָּה֒ha.she.mi.TahH8059,is nearקָֽרְבָ֣הka.re.VahH7126,”so that you look uponעֵֽינְךָ֗'ei.ne.KhaH5869your poorהָֽאֶבְי֔וֹןha.'ev.YonH34brotherבְּאָחִ֙יךָ֙be.'a.Chi.khaH251begrudginglyוְרָעָ֣הve.ra.'AhH7489and give himתִתֵּ֖ןti.TenH5414nothingוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808.He will cry outוְקָרָ֤אve.ka.Ra'H7121toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068against youעָלֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Lei.khaH5921,and you will beוְהָיָ֥הve.ha.YahH1961guilty of sinחֵֽטְא׃Chet'H2399.
10Give generouslyH5414to him,and do notוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808let your heartלְבָבְךָ֖le.va.ve.KhaH3824be grievedיֵרַ֥עye.Ra'H7489when you do soכִּ֞יkiH5414H3588.And because ofבִּגְלַ֣ל׀ הַדָּבָ֣רbig.Lal ha.da.VarH1558H1697thisהַזֶּ֗הha.ZehH2088the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will blessיְבָרֶכְךָ֙ye.va.rekh.KhaH1288you in allבְּכָֽל־be.kholH3605your workמַעֲשֶׂ֔ךָma.'a.Se.khaH4639and in everythingוּבְכֹ֖לu.ve.KholH3605to which you putמִשְׁלַ֥חmish.LachH4916your handיָדֶֽךָ׃ya.De.khaH3027.
11Forכִּ֛יkiH3588there will neverלֹא־lo'-H3808ceaseיֶחְדַּ֥לyech.DalH2308to be poorאֶבְי֖וֹן'ev.YonH34inמִקֶּ֣רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776;that is whyעַל־ כֵּ֞ן'al- kenH5921H3651Iאָנֹכִ֤י'a.no.KhiH595am commanding youמְצַוְּךָ֙me.tza.ve.KhaH6680toלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559openפָּ֠תֹחַPa.to.achH6605wideתִּפְתַּ֨חtif.TachH6605אֶת־'et-H853your handיָדְךָ֜ya.de.KhaH3027to your brotherלְאָחִ֧יךָle.'a.Chi.khaH251and to the poorלַעֲנִיֶּ֛ךָla.'a.ni.Ye.khaH6041and needyוּלְאֶבְיֹנְךָ֖u.le.'ev.yo.ne.KhaH34in your landבְּאַרְצֶֽךָ׃ סbe.'ar.Tze.khaH776.
12Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588a fellowאָחִ֣יךָ'a.Chi.kKhaH251Hebrewהָֽעִבְרִ֗יha.'iv.RiH5680,a man orא֚וֹ'oH176a womanהָֽעִבְרִיָּ֔הha.'iv.ri.YahH5680,is soldיִמָּכֵ֨רyi.ma.KherH4376to youand serves youוַעֲבָֽדְךָ֖va.'a.va.de.KhaH5647sixשֵׁ֣שׁsheshH8337yearsשָׁנִ֑יםsha.NimH8141,then in the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֔תha.she.vi.'ItH7637yearוּבַשָּׁנָה֙u.va.sha.NahH8141you must set himתְּשַׁלְּחֶ֥נּוּte.shal.le.Che.nuH7971freeחָפְשִׁ֖י מֵעִמָּֽךְ׃cha.fe.Shi me.'i.MakhH2670H5973.
14You are to furnish him liberallyH6059from your flockמִצֹּ֣אנְךָ֔mi.Tzo.ne.khaH6629,your threshing floorוּמִֽגָּרְנְךָ֖u.mi.ga.re.ne.KhaH1637,and your winepressוּמִיִּקְבֶ֑ךָu.mi.yik.Ve.chaH3342.You shall giveתִּתֶּן־ti.ten-H5414to himasאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430has blessed youבֵּרַכְךָ֛be.rakh.KhaH1288.
