14He saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413, “It will takeעַ֚ד'adH57042,300אַלְפַּ֖יִם וּשְׁלֹ֣שׁ מֵא֑וֹת'al.Pa.yim u.she.Losh me.'otH505 H7969 H3967eveningsעֶ֣רֶב'E.revH6153and morningsבֹּ֔קֶרBo.kerH1242;then the sanctuaryקֹֽדֶשׁ׃Ko.deshH6944will be properly restoredוְנִצְדַּ֖קve.nitz.DakH6663.”

15Whileוַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589,DanielH1841אֶת־'et-H853,was watchingבִּרְאֹתִ֛יbir.'o.TiH7200the visionהֶחָז֑וֹןhe.cha.ZonH2377and trying toוָאֲבַקְשָׁ֣הva.'a.vak.ShahH1245understand itבִינָ֔הvi.NahH998,thereוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009stoodעֹמֵ֥ד'o.MedH5975before meלְנֶגְדִּ֖יle.neg.DiH5048one having the appearanceכְּמַרְאֵה־ke.mar.'eh-H4758of a manגָֽבֶר׃Ga.verH1397.

16And I heardוָאֶשְׁמַ֥עva.'esh.Ma'H8085the voiceקוֹל־kol-H6963of a manאָדָ֖ם'a.DamH120callingוַיִּקְרָא֙ וַיֹּאמַ֔רvai.yik.Ra' vai.yo.MarH7121 H559from betweenבֵּ֣יןbeinH996the banks ofthe Ulaiאוּלָ֑י'u.LaiH195: “Gabrielגַּבְרִיאֵ֕לgav.ri.'ElH1403,explainהָבֵ֥ןha.VenH995the visionהַמַּרְאֶֽה׃ha.mar.'EhH4758to this manלְהַלָּ֖זle.ha.LazH1975אֶת־'et-H853.”

17As he cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935nearאֵ֣צֶל'E.tzelH681to where I stoodעָמְדִ֔י'a.me.DiH5977וּבְבֹא֣וֹu.ve.vo.'OH935,I was terrifiedנִבְעַ֔תִּיniv.'A.tiH1204and fellוָאֶפְּלָ֖הva.'e.pe.LahH5307facedownעַל־ פָּנָ֑י'al- pa.NaiH5921 H6440. “Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120,”he saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַי֙'e.LaiH413, “understandהָבֵ֣ןha.VenH995thatכִּ֖יkiH3588the visionהֶחָזֽוֹן׃he.cha.ZonH2377concerns the timeלְעֶת־le.'et-H6256of the endקֵ֥ץketzH7093.”

18While he was speakingוּבְדַבְּר֣וֹu.ve.da.be.RoH1696with meעִמִּ֔י'i.MiH5973,I fell into a deep sleepנִרְדַּ֥מְתִּיnir.Dam.tiH7290,withעַל־'al-H5921my faceפָּנַ֖יpa.NaiH6440to the groundאָ֑רְצָה'A.re.tzahH776.Then he touchedוַיִּ֨גַּע־vai.Yi.ga'-H5060me,helped me to my feetוַיַּֽעֲמִידֵ֖נִי עַל־ עָמְדִֽי׃vai.ya.'a.mi.De.ni 'al- 'a.me.DiH5975 H5921 H5977,

19and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Beholdהִנְנִ֣יhi.NiH2005,I will make known to youמוֹדִֽיעֲךָ֔mo.di.'a.KhaH3045אֵ֥ת'etH853whatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834will happenיִהְיֶ֖הyih.YehH1961in the latter timeבְּאַחֲרִ֣יתbe.'a.cha.RitH319of wrathהַזָּ֑עַםha.Za.'amH2195,becauseכִּ֖יkiH3588it concerns the appointed timeלְמוֹעֵ֥דle.mo.'EdH4150of the endקֵֽץ׃KetzH7093.

20The two-hornedהַקְּרָנָ֑יִםha.ke.ra.Na.yimH7161ramהָאַ֥יִלha.'A.yilH352thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you sawרָאִ֖יתָ בַּ֣עַלra.'I.ta Ba.'alH7200 H1167represents the kingsמַלְכֵ֖יmal.KheiH4428of Mediaמָדַ֥יma.DaiH4074and Persiaוּפָרָֽס׃u.fa.RasH6539.

21The shaggyהַשָּׂעִ֖ירha.sa.'IrH8163goatוְהַצָּפִ֥ירve.ha.tza.FirH6842represents the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Greeceיָוָ֑ןya.VanH3120,and the largeהַגְּדוֹלָה֙ha.ge.do.LahH1419אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834hornוְהַקֶּ֤רֶןve.ha.Ke.renH7161betweenבֵּין־bein-H996his eyesעֵינָ֔יו'ei.NavH5869isה֖וּאhu'H1931the firstהָרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ha.ri.ShonH7223kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428.

22The fourאַרְבַּ֖ע'ar.Ba'H702hornsthat replacedתַּחְתֶּ֑יהָtach.Tei.haH8478the brokenוְהַ֨נִּשְׁבֶּ֔רֶתve.Ha.nish.Be.retH7665onerepresent fourאַרְבַּ֧ע'ar.Ba'H702kingdomsמַלְכֻי֛וֹתmal.khu.YotH4438that will riseוַתַּֽעֲמֹ֥דְנָהva.ta.'a.Mo.de.nahH5975from that nationמִגּ֥וֹי יַעֲמֹ֖דְנָהmi.Goy ya.'a.Mo.de.nahH1471 H5975but will not haveוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808the same powerבְכֹחֽוֹ׃ve.kho.ChoH3581.

23In the latter partוּֽבְאַחֲרִית֙u.ve.'a.cha.RitH319of their reignמַלְכוּתָ֔םmal.khu.TamH4438,when the rebellionהַפֹּשְׁעִ֑יםha.posh.'ImH6586has reached its full measureכְּהָתֵ֖םke.ha.TemH8552,an insolentעַז־ פָּנִ֖ים'az- pa.NimH5794 H6440kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428,skilledוּמֵבִ֥יןu.me.VinH995in intrigueחִידֽוֹת׃chi.DotH2420,will come to the throneיַעֲמֹ֛דya.'a.ModH5975.

24His powerכֹּחוֹ֙ko.ChoH3581will be greatוְעָצַ֤םve.'a.TzamH6105,but itבְכֹח֔וֹ וְנִפְלָא֥וֹתve.kho.Cho ve.nif.la.'otH3581 H6381will not be his ownוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808.He will cause terrible destructionיַשְׁחִ֖יתyash.ChitH7843and succeedוְהִצְלִ֣יחַve.hitz.Li.achH6743in whatever he doesוְעָשָׂ֑הve.'a.SahH6213.He will destroyוְהִשְׁחִ֥יתve.hish.ChitH7843the mighty menעֲצוּמִ֖ים'a.tzu.MimH6099along with the holyקְדֹשִֽׁים׃ke.do.ShimH6918peopleוְעַם־ve.'am-H5971.

25Throughוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921his craftשִׂכְל֗וֹsikh.LoH7922and by his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,he will cause deceitמִרְמָה֙mir.MahH4820to prosperוְהִצְלִ֤יחַve.hitz.Li.achH6743,and in his own mindוּבִלְבָב֣וֹu.vil.va.VoH3824he will make himself greatיַגְדִּ֔ילyag.DilH1431.In a time of peaceוּבְשַׁלְוָ֖הuv.shal.VahH7962he will destroyיַשְׁחִ֣יתyash.ChitH7843manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227,and he will even standיַעֲמֹ֔דya.'a.ModH5975againstוְעַ֤ל־ve.'Al-H5921the Princeשַׂר־sar-H8269of princesשָׂרִים֙sa.RimH8269.Yet he will be broken offיִשָּׁבֵֽר׃yi.sha.VerH7665,but notוּבְאֶ֥פֶסu.ve.'E.fesH657by human handsיָ֖דyadH3027.

26The visionוּמַרְאֵ֨הu.mar.'EhH4758of the eveningsהָעֶ֧רֶבha.'E.revH6153and the morningsוְהַבֹּ֛קֶרve.ha.Bo.kerH1242thatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834has been spokenנֶאֱמַ֖רne.'e.MarH559is trueאֱמֶ֣ת ה֑וּא'e.Met Hu'H571 H1931.Now youוְאַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH859must seal upסְתֹ֣םse.TomH5640the visionהֶֽחָז֔וֹןhe.cha.ZonH2377,forכִּ֖יkiH3588it concerns the distantרַבִּֽים׃ra.BimH7227futureלְיָמִ֥יםle.ya.MimH3117.”
