6Seekדִּרְשׁ֥וּdir.ShuH1875אֶת־'et-H853the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068and liveוִֽחְי֑וּvich.YuH2421,orפֶּן־pen-H6435He will sweepיִצְלַ֤חyitz.LachH6743like fireכָּאֵשׁ֙ka.'EshH784through the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Josephיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130;it will devour everythingוְאָכְלָ֥הve.'a.khe.LahH398,with no oneוְאֵין־ve.'ein-H369at BethelH1008to extinguish itמְכַבֶּ֖הme.kha.BehH3518.

7There are those who turnהַהֹפְכִ֥יםha.ho.fe.KhimH2015justiceמִשְׁפָּ֑טmish.PatH4941into wormwoodלְלַעֲנָ֖הle.la.'a.NahH3939and castהִנִּֽיחוּ׃hi.Ni.chuH5117righteousnessוּצְדָקָ֖הu.tze.da.KahH6666to the groundלָאָ֥רֶץla.'A.retzH776.

8He who madeעֹשֵׂ֨ה'o.SehH6213the Pleiadesכִימָ֜הkhi.MahH3598and Orionוּכְסִ֗ילu.khe.SilH3685,who turnsוְהֹפֵ֤ךְve.ho.FekhH2015darknessצַלְמָ֔וֶתtzal.Ma.vetH6757into dawnלַבֹּ֙קֶר֙la.Bo.kerH1242and darkensהֶחְשִׁ֑יךְhech.ShikhH2821dayוְי֖וֹםve.YomH3117into nightלַ֣יְלָהLay.lahH3915,who summonsהַקּוֹרֵ֣אha.ko.Re'H7121the watersלְמֵֽי־le.mei-H4325of the seaהַיָּ֗םhai.YamH3220and pours themוַֽיִּשְׁפְּכֵ֛םvai.yish.pe.KhemH8210overעַל־'al-H5921the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776—the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068is His nameשְׁמֽוֹ׃ סshe.MoH8034—

9He flashesהַמַּבְלִ֥יגha.mav.LigH1082destructionשֹׁ֖דshodH7701onעַל־'al-H5921the strongעָ֑ז'AzH5794,so that furyוְשֹׁ֖דve.ShodH7701comesיָבֽוֹא׃ya.Vo'H935uponעַל־'al-H5921the strongholdמִבְצָ֥רmiv.TzarH4013.

10There are those who hateשָׂנְא֥וּsa.ne.'UH8130the one who reprovesמוֹכִ֑יחַmo.Khi.achH3198in the gateבַשַּׁ֖עַרva.Sha.'arH8179and despise himיְתָעֵֽבוּ׃ye.ta.'E.vuH8581who speaksוְדֹבֵ֥רve.do.VerH1696with integrityתָּמִ֖יםta.MimH8549.

11Thereforeלָ֠כֵןLa.khenH3651,becauseיַ֣עַןYa.'anH3282you trampleבּוֹשַׁסְכֶ֞םbo.shas.KhemH1318onעַל־'al-H5921the poorדָּ֗לDalH1800and exactתִּקְח֣וּtik.ChuH3947from himמִמֶּ֔נּוּmi.Me.nuH4480a taxוּמַשְׂאַת־u.mas.'at-H4864of grainבַּר֙barH1250,you will neverוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808liveתֵ֣שְׁבוּTe.she.vuH3427in the stone housesבָּתֵּ֥י גָזִ֛יתba.Tei ga.ZitH1004 H1496you have builtבְּנִיתֶ֖םbe.ni.TemH1129;you will neverוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808drinkתִשְׁתּ֖וּtish.TuH8354אֶת־'et-H853the wineיֵינָֽם׃yei.NamH3196from the lushחֶ֣מֶדChe.medH2531vineyardsכַּרְמֵי־kar.mei-H3754you have plantedנְטַעְתֶּ֔םne.ta'.TemH5193.

12Forכִּ֤יkiH3588I knowיָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ya.Da'.tiH3045thatyour transgressionsפִּשְׁעֵיכֶ֔םpish.'ei.KhemH6588are manyרַבִּ֣יםra.BimH7227and your sinsחַטֹּֽאתֵיכֶ֑םcha.to.tei.KhemH2403are numerousוַעֲצֻמִ֖יםva.'a.tzu.MimH6099.You oppressצֹרְרֵ֤יtzo.re.ReiH6887the righteousצַדִּיק֙tza.DikH6662by takingלֹ֣קְחֵיLo.ke.cheiH3947bribesכֹ֔פֶרKho.ferH3724;you deprive the poorוְאֶבְיוֹנִ֖יםve.'ev.yo.NimH34of justiceהִטּֽוּ׃hi.TuH5186in the gateבַּשַּׁ֥עַרba.Sha.'arH8179.

13Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651,the prudentהַמַּשְׂכִּ֛ילha.mas.KilH7919keep silentיִדֹּ֑םyi.DomH1826in suchהַהִ֖יאha.Hi'H1931timesבָּעֵ֥תba.'EtH6256,forכִּ֛יkiH3588the daysעֵ֥ת'etH6256are evilרָעָ֖ה הִֽיא׃ra.'Ah Hi'H7451 H1931.
