11And Asaאָסָ֛א'a.Sa'H609didוַיַּ֧עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213what was rightהַיָּשָׁ֖רhai.ya.SharH3477in the eyesבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,as his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1Davidכְּדָוִ֖דke.da.VidH1732had done.

12He banishedוַיַּעֲבֵ֥רvai.ya.'a.VerH5674the male shrine prostitutesהַקְּדֵשִׁ֖יםha.ke.de.ShimH6945fromמִן־min-H4480the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776and removedוַיָּ֙סַר֙vai.Ya.sarH5493אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605the idolsהַגִּלֻּלִ֔יםha.gi.lu.LimH1544thatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834his fathersאֲבֹתָֽיו׃'a.vo.TavH1had madeעָשׂ֖וּ'a.SuH6213.

14The high placesוְהַבָּמ֖וֹתve.ha.ba.MotH1116were notלֹא־lo'-H3808removedסָ֑רוּSa.ruH5493,butרַ֣קrakH7535Asa’sאָסָ֗א'a.Sa'H609heartלְבַב־le.vav-H3824wasהָיָ֥הha.YahH1961fully devotedשָׁלֵ֛םsha.LemH8003toעִם־'im-H5973the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068allכָּל־kol-H3605his daysיָמָֽיו׃ya.MavH3117.

15And he broughtוַיָּבֵא֙vai.ya.Ve'H935אֶת־'et-H853into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068the silverכֶּ֥סֶףKe.sefH3701and goldוְזָהָ֖בve.za.HavH2091and the articlesוְכֵלִֽים׃ve.khe.LimH3627that heקָדְשֵׁ֣יka.de.SheiH6944and his fatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1had dedicatedוְקָדְשֵׁ֖יve.ka.de.sheiH6944.

16Now there wasהָיְתָ֜הha.ye.TahH1961warוּמִלְחָמָ֨הu.mil.cha.MahH4421betweenבֵּ֣יןbeinH996Asaאָסָ֗א וּבֵ֛ין'a.Sa' u.VeinH609 H996and Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֥אba'.Sha'H1201kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478throughoutכָּל־kol-H3605their daysיְמֵיהֶֽם׃ye.mei.HemH3117.

21Whenוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֔אba'.Sha'H1201learned of thisכִּשְׁמֹ֣עַkish.Mo.a'H8085,he stoppedוַיֶּחְדַּ֕לvai.yech.DalH2308fortifyingמִבְּנ֖וֹתmi.be.NotH1129אֶת־'et-H853Ramahהָֽרָמָ֑הha.ra.MahH7414and withdrewוַיֵּ֖שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427to Tirzahבְּתִרְצָֽה׃be.tir.TzahH8656.

22Then Kingוְהַמֶּ֨לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428Asaאָסָ֜א'a.Sa'H609summonedהִשְׁמִ֤יעַhish.Mi.a'H8085אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605the menof Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063,with noאֵ֣ין'einH369exceptionsנָקִ֔יna.KiH5355,and they carried awayוַיִּשְׂא֞וּvai.yis.'UH5375אֶת־'et-H853the stonesאַבְנֵ֤י'av.NeiH68of Ramahהָֽרָמָה֙ha.ra.MahH7414וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and the timbersעֵצֶ֔יהָ'e.Tzei.haH6086אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֑אba'.Sha'H1201had used for buildingבָּנָ֖הba.NahH1129.
