10He reignedמָלַ֖ךְma.LakhH4427forty-oneוְאַרְבָּעִ֤ים וְאַחַת֙ve.'ar.ba.'Im ve.'a.ChatH705 H259yearsשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389; andhis mother’sאִמּ֔וֹ'i.MoH517nameוְשֵׁ֣םve.ShemH8034was Maacahמַעֲכָ֖הma.'a.KhahH4601the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Abishalomאֲבִישָׁלֽוֹם׃'a.vi.sha.LomH53.

11Asaאָסָ֛א'a.Sa'H609didוַיַּ֧עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213whatH3477was rightהַיָּשָׁ֖רhai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,like Davidכְּדָוִ֖דke.da.VidH1732his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1.

15He broughtוַיָּבֵא֙vai.ya.Ve'H935into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068the dedicatedH6944thingsקָדְשֵׁ֣יka.de.SheiH6944of his fatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1and his own dedicatedH6944thingsוְקָדְשֵׁ֖יve.ka.de.sheiH6944:silverכֶּ֥סֶףKe.sefH3701and goldוְזָהָ֖בve.za.HavH2091and utensilsוְכֵלִֽים׃ve.khe.LimH3627.

16Now there was warוּמִלְחָמָ֨הu.mil.cha.MahH4421betweenH996Asaאָסָ֗א'a.Sa'H609and Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֥אba'.Sha'H1201kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478allכָּל־kol-H3605their daysיְמֵיהֶֽם׃ye.mei.HemH3117.

21When Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֔אba'.Sha'H1201heardכִּשְׁמֹ֣עַkish.Mo.a'H8085of it,he ceasedוַיֶּחְדַּ֕לvai.yech.DalH2308fortifyingמִבְּנ֖וֹתmi.be.NotH1129Ramahהָֽרָמָ֑הha.ra.MahH7414and remainedוַיֵּ֖שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427inTirzahבְּתִרְצָֽה׃be.tir.TzahH8656.

22Then Kingוְהַמֶּ֨לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428Asaאָסָ֜א'a.Sa'H609madeH8085a proclamationH8085to allכָּל־kol-H3605Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063--noneאֵ֣ין'einH369was exemptנָקִ֔יna.KiH5355--and they carriedוַיִּשְׂא֞וּvai.yis.'UH5375away the stonesאַבְנֵ֤י'av.NeiH68of Ramahהָֽרָמָה֙ha.ra.MahH7414and its timberעֵצֶ֔יהָ'e.Tzei.haH6086with whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֑אba'.Sha'H1201had builtבָּנָ֖הba.NahH1129.And Kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Asaאָסָ֔א'a.Sa'H609builtוַיִּ֤בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129with themGebaגֶּ֥בַעGe.va'H1387of Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֖ןbin.ya.MinH1144and Mizpahהַמִּצְפָּֽה׃ha.mitz.PahH4709.
