Proverbs 8
1Doth not wisdomH2451 cry, And understandingH8394 putH5414 forth her voiceH6963?2On the topH7218 of highH4791 placesH4791 by the wayH1870, Where the pathsH5410 meet, she standeth;3Beside the gatesH8179, at the entry of the city, At the coming in at the doorsH6607, she crieth aloudH7442:4Unto you, O menH376, I callH7121; And my voiceH6963 is to the sonsH1121 of menH376.5O ye simple, understandH995 prudenceH6195; And, ye foolsH3684, be of an understandingH995 heartH3820.6HearH8085, for I will speakH1696 excellent things; And the opening of my lipsH8193 shall be right things.7For my mouthH2441 shall utterH1897 truthH571; And wickednessH7562 is an abominationH8441 to my lipsH8193.8All the wordsH561 of my mouthH6310 are in righteousnessH6664; There is nothingH369 crooked or perverseH6141 in them.9They are all plain to him that understandeth, And rightH3477 to them that findH4672 knowledgeH1847.10ReceiveH3947 my instruction, and not silverH3701; And knowledgeH1847 rather than choice goldH2742.11For wisdomH2451 is betterH2896 than rubies; And all the things that may be desiredH2656 are not to be compared unto it.12I wisdomH2451 have made prudenceH6195 my dwellingH7931, And findH4672 out knowledgeH1847anddiscretionH4209.13The fearH3374 of Jehovah is to hateH8130 evilH7451: PrideH1347, and arrogancy, and the evilH7451 wayH1870, And the perverseH8419 mouthH6310, do I hateH8130.14CounselH6098 is mine, and soundH8454 knowledge: I am understandingH998; I have might.15By me kingsH4428 reignH4427, And princes decree justice.16By me princesH8269 ruleH8323, And noblesH5081, evenall the judgesH8199 of the earth.17I loveH157 them that loveH157 me; And those that seekH7836 me diligently shall findH4672 me.18RichesH6239 and honorH3519 are with me; Yea, durable wealthH1952 and righteousnessH6666.19My fruitH6529 is betterH2896 than goldH6337, yea, than fine goldH6337; And my revenue than choice silverH3701.20I walkH1980 in the wayH734 of righteousnessH6666, In the midstH8432 of the pathsH734 of justiceH4941;21That I may cause those that loveH157 me to inheritH5157 substance, And that I may fillH4390 their treasuriesH214.22Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his wayH1870, Before his works of old.23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earthH776 was.24When there were no depthsH8415, I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with waterH4325.25Before the mountainsH2022 were settled, Before the hillsH1389 was I brought forth;26While as yet he had not madeH6213 the earthH776, nor the fields, Nor the beginning of the dustH6083 of the worldH8398.27When he establishedH3559 the heavensH8064, I was there: When he set a circleH2329 upon the faceH6440 of the deepH8415,28When he madeH553 firmH553 the skies above, When the fountains of the deepH8415 became strongH553,29When he gave to the seaH3220 its bound, That the watersH4325 should not transgressH5674 his commandment, When he markedH2710 out the foundationsH4144 of the earthH776;30Then I wasH1961 by him, asa master workman; And I wasH1961 dailyhisdelightH8191, Rejoicing always before him,31Rejoicing in his habitable earthH776; And my delightH8191 was with the sonsH1121 of menH120.32NowH6258 thereforeH6258, mysonsH1121, hearken unto me; For blessed are they that keepH8104 my waysH1870.33HearH8085 instruction, and be wiseH2449, And refuse it not.34Blessed is the manH120 that heareth me, WatchingH8245 daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doorsH1817.35For whoso findeth me findeth lifeH2416, And shall obtainH6329 favorH7522 of Jehovah.36But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his ownH5315 soulH5315: All they that hateH8130 me loveH157 deathH4194.
