Proverbs 29
1He that being often reproved hardeneth his neckH6203 Shall suddenlyH6621 be destroyed, and that without remedy.2When the righteousH6662 are increasedH7235, the peopleH5971 rejoiceH8055; But when a wickedH7563 man beareth ruleH4910, the peopleH5971 sigh.3Whoso loveth wisdomH2451 rejoiceth his fatherH1; But he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth his substance.4The kingH4428 by justiceH4941 establisheth the landH776; But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it.5A manH1397 that flattereth his neighborH7453 Spreadeth a netH7568 for his steps.6In the transgressionH6588 of an evilH7451 manH376 there is a snareH4170; But the righteousH6662 doth singH7442 and rejoiceH8055.7The righteousH6662 taketh knowledgeH1847 of the causeH1779 of the poorH1800; The wickedH7563 hath not understandingH995 to knowH3045 it.8Scoffers set a city in a flame; But wiseH2450 menH376 turnH7725 awayH7725 wrath.9If a wiseH2450 manH376 hath a controversy with a foolish manH376, Whether he be angry or laughH7832, there will be no rest.10The bloodthirsty hateH8130 him that is perfectH8535; And as for the uprightH3477, they seekH1245 his lifeH5315.11A foolH3684 uttereth all his anger; But a wiseH2450 man keepeth it backH268 and stilleth it.12If a rulerH4910 hearkeneth to falsehoodH8267, All his servantsH8334 are wickedH7563.13The poorH7326 manH376 and the oppressor meetH6298 together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyesH5869 of them both.14The kingH4428 that faithfully judgeth the poorH1800, His throneH3678 shall be establishedH3559 for everH5703.15The rodH7626 and reproof giveH5414 wisdomH2451; But a child left to himself causeth shameH954 to his motherH517.16When the wickedH7563 are increasedH7235, transgressionH6588 increaseth; But the righteousH6662 shall lookH7200 upon their fall.17Correct thy sonH1121, and he will giveH5414 thee restH5117; Yea, he will giveH5414 delight unto thy soulH5315.18Where there is no visionH2377, the peopleH5971 cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the lawH8451, happy is he.19A servantH5650 will not be corrected by wordsH1697; For though he understandH995, he will not giveH995 heed.20Seest thou a manH376 that is hastyH213 in his wordsH1697? There is moreH4480 hopeH8615 of a foolH3684 than of him.21He that delicately bringeth up his servantH5650 from a child Shall have him becomeH1961 a son at the last.22An angry manH376 stirreth up strifeH4066, And a wrathful manH376 aboundeth in transgressionH6588.23A man’sH120 prideH1346 shall bringH8213 him lowH8213; But he that is of a lowlyH8217 spiritH7307 shall obtain honorH3519.24Whoso is partner with a thiefH1590 hateth his ownH5315 soulH5315; He heareth the adjuration and uttereth nothing.25The fearH2731 of manH120 bringeth a snareH4170; But whoso putteth his trustH982 in Jehovah shall be safe.26ManyH7227 seekH1245 the ruler’sH4910 favor; But a man’sH376 judgmentH4941comethfrom Jehovah.27An unjust manH376 is an abominationH8441 to the righteousH6662; And he that is uprightH3477 in the wayH1870 is an abominationH8441 to the wickedH7563.
