Micah 7

1WoeH480 is me! for I amH1961 as when they have gathered the summerH7019 fruits, as the grapeH1210 gleaningsH5955 of the vintage: there is no clusterH811 to eatH398; my soulH5315 desireth the first-ripe figH1063. 2The godly manH376 is perishedH6 out of the earthH776, and there is none uprightH3477 among menH376: they all lieH693 in waitH693 for bloodH1818; they huntH6679 every manH376 his brotherH251 with a net. 3Their handsH3709 are upon that which is evilH7451 to do it diligently; the princeH8269 asketh, and the judgeH8199 is ready for a reward; and the greatH1419 man, he uttereth the evilH7451 desireH5315 of his soulH5315: thus they weave it together. 4The bestH2896 of them is as a brier; the most uprightH3477 is worse than a thorn hedge: the dayH3117 of thy watchmenH6822, even thy visitation, is comeH935; nowH6258 shall beH1961 their perplexity. 5TrustH982 ye not in a neighborH7453; put ye not confidence in a friendH7453; keepH8104 the doorsH6607 of thy mouthH6310 from her that lieth in thy bosomH2436. 6For the sonH1121 dishonoreth the fatherH1, the daughterH1323 riseth up against her motherH517, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’sH376 enemiesH341 are the menH376 of his own houseH1004.

7But as for me, I will look unto Jehovah; I will waitH3176 for the GodH430 of my salvationH3468: my GodH430 will hearH8085 me. 8RejoiceH8055 not against me, O mine enemyH341: when I fallH5307, I shall ariseH6965; when I sitH3427 in darknessH2822, Jehovah will be a lightH216 unto me. 9I will bearH5375 the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinnedH2398 against him, until he plead my causeH7379, and execute judgmentH4941 for me: he will bringH3318 me forthH3318 to the lightH216, and I shall behold his righteousnessH6666. 10Then mine enemyH341 shall seeH7200 it, and shameH955 shall coverH3680 her who saidH559 unto me, WhereH346 is Jehovah thy GodH430? Mine eyesH5869 shall seeH7200 my desire upon her; nowH6258 shall she beH1961 trodden down as the mire of the streetsH2351. 11A dayH3117 for buildingH1129 thy wallsH1447! in that dayH3117 shall the decreeH2706 be farH7368 removedH7368. 12In that dayH3117 shall they comeH935 unto thee from AssyriaH804 and the citiesH5892 of EgyptH4693, and from EgyptH4693 even to the RiverH5104, and from seaH3220 to seaH3220, and from mountainH2022 to mountainH2022. 13Yet shall the landH776 beH1961 desolate because of them that dwellH3427 therein, for the fruitH6529 of their doings.

14FeedH7462 thy peopleH5971 with thy rodH7626, the flockH6629 of thy heritage, which dwellH7931 solitarily, in the forestH3293 in the midstH8432 of CarmelH3760: let them feedH7462 in BashanH1316 and GileadH1568, as in the daysH3117 of old. 15As in the daysH3117 of thy comingH3318 forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 will I showH7200 unto them marvellous thingsH6381. 16The nationsH1471 shall seeH7200 and be ashamedH954 of all their might; they shall lay their handH3027 upon their mouthH6310; their earsH241 shall be deaf. 17They shall lickH3897 the dustH6083 like a serpent; like crawling things of the earthH776 they shall come tremblingH7264 out of their close places; they shall come with fearH3372 unto Jehovah our GodH430, and shall be afraidH3372 because of thee.

18Who is a GodH410 like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquityH5771, and passeth over the transgressionH6588 of the remnantH7611 of his heritage? he retaineth not his angerH639 for everH5703, because he delighteth in lovingkindness. 19He will again have compassionH7355 upon us; he will tread our iniquitiesH5771 under foot; and thou wilt castH7993 all their sinsH2403 into the depthsH4688 of the seaH3220. 20Thou wilt perform the truthH571 to JacobH3290, and the lovingkindness to AbrahamH85, which thou hast swornH7650 unto our fathersH1 from the daysH3117 of old.
