1 Peter 3:8-17
8Finally, be ye all likeminded, compassionate, loving as brethren, tenderhearted, humbleminded: 9not rendering evilG2556 for evilG2556, or reviling for reviling; but contrariwise blessingG2129; for hereunto were ye calledG2564, that ye should inheritG2816 a blessingG2129. 10For,
13And who is he that will harmG2559 you, if ye be zealousG2207 of that which is goodG18? 14But evenG2532 if ye should sufferG3958 for righteousness’ sakeG1223, blessed are ye: and fearG5401 not their fearG5401, neither be troubledG5015; 15but sanctifyG37 in your heartsG2588 ChristG5547 as LordG2962: being readyG2092 alwaysG104 to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerningG4012 the hopeG1680 that is in you, yet with meekness and fearG5401: 16having a goodG18 conscienceG4893; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shameG2617 who revile your goodG18 mannerG391 of lifeG391 in ChristG5547. 17For it is better, if the will of GodG2316 should so will, that ye sufferG3958 for well-doing than for evil-doing.
