2That thecitiesוְהֶעָרִ֗יםve.he.'a.RimH5892whichHuramחוּרָם֙chu.RamH2361hadrestoredנָתַ֤ןna.TanH5414toSolomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֔הlish.lo.MohH8010,Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010builtבָּנָ֥הba.NahH1129them, and caused thechildrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478todwellוַיּ֥וֹשֶׁבvai.Yo.o.shevH3427there.

3AndSolomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010wentH3212toHamathzobahH2578, andprevailedוַיֶּחֱזַ֖קvai.ye.che.ZakH2388against it.

4And hebuiltוַיִּ֥בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129Tadmorתַּדְמֹ֖רtad.MorH8412in thewildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֑רba.mid.BarH4057, and all thestoreהַֽמִּסְכְּנ֔וֹתha.mis.ke.NotH4543citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892, which hebuiltבָּנָ֖הba.NahH1129inHamathבַּחֲמָֽת׃ba.cha.MatH2574.

5Also hebuiltוַיִּ֜בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129BethhoronH1032theupperהָֽעֶלְי֔וֹןha.'el.YonH5945, andBethhoronH1032thelowerהַתַּחְתּ֑וֹןha.tach.TonH8481,fortifiedמָצ֔וֹרma.TzorH4692citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892, withwallsחוֹמ֖וֹתcho.MotH2346,gatesדְּלָתַ֥יִםde.la.Ta.yimH1817, andbarsוּבְרִֽיחַ׃u.ve.Ri.achH1280;

6AndBaalathבַּעֲלָ֗תba.'a.LatH1191, and all thestoreהַֽמִּסְכְּנוֹת֙ha.mis.ke.nOtH4543citiesעָרֵ֤י'a.ReiH5892thatSolomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֔הlish.lo.MohH8010had, and all thechariotהָרֶ֔כֶבha.Re.khevH7393citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892, and thecitiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of thehorsemenהַפָּרָשִׁ֑יםha.pa.ra.ShimH6571, and all thatSolomonשְׁלֹמֹ֗הshe.lo.MohH8010desiredחֵ֣שֶׁק חָשַׁק֙Che.shek cha.ShakH2836 H2837tobuildלִבְנ֤וֹתliv.NotH1129inJerusalemבִּירֽוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙bi.ru.sha.LimH3389, and inLebanonוּבַלְּבָנ֔וֹןu.va.le.va.NonH3844, and throughout all thelandאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of hisdominionמֶמְשַׁלְתּֽוֹ׃mem.shal.ToH4475.

7As for all thepeopleהָ֠עָםHa.'omH5971that wereleftהַנּוֹתָ֨רha.no.TarH3498of theHittitesהַחִתִּ֜יha.chi.TiH2850, and theAmoritesוְהָאֱמֹרִ֤יve.ha.'e.mo.RiH567, and thePerizzitesוְהַפְּרִזִּי֙ve.hap.pe.ri.ZiH6522, and theHivitesוְהַחִוִּ֣יve.ha.chi.ViH2340, and theJebusitesוְהַיְבוּסִ֔יve.hay.vu.SiH2983, who were not ofIsraelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֖לmi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,

8But of theirchildrenבְּנֵיהֶ֗םbe.nei.HemH1121, who wereleftנוֹתְר֤וּnot.RuH3498afterאַחֲרֵיהֶם֙'a.cha.rei.HemH310them in thelandבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776, whom thechildrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478consumedכִלּ֖וּםkhi.LumH3615not, them didSolomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010force topayוַיַּעֲלֵ֤םvai.ya.'a.LemH5927tributeלְמַ֔סle.MasH4522until thisdayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

9But of thechildrenבְּנֵי֙be.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478didSolomonשְׁלֹמֹ֛הshe.lo.MohH8010makeנָתַ֧ןna.TanH5414noservantsלַעֲבָדִ֖יםla.'a.va.DimH5650for hisworkלִמְלַאכְתּ֑וֹlim.lakh.ToH4399; but they weremenאַנְשֵׁ֤י'an.SheiH582ofwarמִלְחָמָה֙mil.cha.MahH4421, andchiefוְשָׂרֵ֣יve.sa.ReiH8269of hiscaptainsשָׁלִישָׁ֔יוsha.li.ShavH7991, andcaptainsוְשָׂרֵ֥יve.sa.ReiH8269of hischariotsרִכְבּ֖וֹrikh.BoH7393andhorsemenוּפָרָשָֽׁיו׃ פu.fa.ra.ShavH6571.
