1In the beginningH7225 of the reignH4467 of JehoiakimH3079 the sonH1121 of JosiahH2977, kingH4428 of JudahH3063, cameH1961 this wordH1697 unto JeremiahH3414 from the LORDH3068, sayingH559, 2ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 to meH413: MakeH5414 thee bandsH4147 and barsH4133, and putH5414 them uponH5921 thy neckH6677; 3and sendH7971 them to the kingH4428 of EdomH123, and to the kingH4428 of MoabH4124, and to the kingH4428 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and to the kingH4428 of TyreH6865, and to the kingH4428 of Zidon, by the handH3027 of the messengersH4397 which comeH935 to JerusalemH3389 unto ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063; 4and giveH6680 them a chargeH6680 unto their mastersH113; sayingH559, ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: ThusH3541 shall ye sayH559 unto your mastersH113; 5I have madeH6213 the earthH776, the manH120 and the beastH929 that are uponH5921 the faceH6440 of the earthH776, by my greatH1419 powerH2220 and by my outstretchedH5186 armH2220; and I giveH5414 it unto whomH834 it seemeth rightH3474 unto meH5414. 6And nowH6258 have I givenH5414 allH3605 theseH428 landsH776 intoH776 the handH3027 of NebuchadnezzarH5019 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, my servantH5650; and the beastsH2416 of the fieldH7704 also have I givenH5414 him to serveH5647 him. 7And allH3605 the nationsH1471 shall serveH5647 him, and his sonH1121, and his son’sH1121 sonH1121, untilH5704 the time of his own landH776 comeH935: and then manyH7227 nationsH1471 and greatH1419 kingsH4428 shall serveH5647 themselves of him. 8And it shall comeH1961 to passH1961, that the nationH1471 and the kingdomH4467 whichH834 will notH3808 serveH5647 the sameH1931 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and that will notH3808 putH5414 their neckH6677 underH5921 the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, that nationH1471 will I punishH6485, saith the LORDH3068, with the swordH2719, and with the famineH7458, and with the pestilenceH1698, untilH5704 I have consumedH8552 them by his handH3027. 9But as for youH859, hearken ye notH3808 to your prophetsH5030, norH3808 to your divinersH7080, norH3808 to your dreamsH2472, norH3808 to your soothsayers, norH3808 to your sorcerersH3786, whichH834 speakH559 unto youH859, sayingH559, Ye shall notH3808 serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894: 10for they prophesyH5012 a lieH8267 unto youH3588, to removeH7368 youH3588 farH7368 from your landH127; and that I should driveH5080 youH3588 outH5921 and ye should perishH6. 11But the nationH1471 that shall bringH935 their neckH6677 underH5921 the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and serveH5647 him, that nationH1471 will I let remainH3427 in their own landH127, saith the LORDH3068; and they shall tillH5647 it, and dwellH3427 therein. 12And I spake to ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 accordingH413 to allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697, sayingH559, BringH935 your necksH6677 underH935 the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and serveH5647 him and his peopleH5971, and liveH2421. 13WhyH4100 will ye dieH4191, thou and thy peopleH5971, by the swordH2719, by the famineH7458, and by the pestilenceH1698, as the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696 concerning the nationH1471 that will notH3808 serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894? 14And hearken notH3808 unto the wordsH1697 of the prophetsH5030 that speakH559 unto youH3588, sayingH559, Ye shall notH3808 serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894: for they prophesyH5012 a lieH8267 unto youH3588. 15For I have notH3808 sentH7971 them, saith the LORDH3068, but they prophesyH5012 falselyH8267 in my nameH8034; that I might driveH5080 youH859 outH7971, and that ye might perishH6, ye, and the prophetsH5030 that prophesyH5012 unto youH859. 16Also I spake to the priestsH3548 and to allH3605 this peopleH5971, sayingH559, ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068: Hearken notH408 to the wordsH1697 of your prophetsH5030 that prophesyH5012 unto youH3588, sayingH559, BeholdH2009, the vesselsH3627 of the LORD’SH3068 houseH1004 shall nowH6258 shortlyH4120 be broughtH7725 againH7725 from BabylonH894: for they prophesyH5012 a lieH8267 unto youH3588. 17Hearken notH408 unto them; serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and liveH2421: wherefore should this cityH5892 becomeH1961 a desolationH2723? 18But ifH518 they be prophetsH5030, and ifH518 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 be with them, letH4994 them nowH4994 makeH6293 intercession to the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, that the vesselsH3627 whichH6635 are leftH3498 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the houseH1004 of the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and at JerusalemH3389, goH935 notH1115 to BabylonH894. 19For thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 concerning the pillarsH5982, and concerning the seaH3220, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vesselsH3627, that are leftH3498 in this cityH5892, 20whichH834 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 tookH3947 notH3808, when he carriedH1540 awayH1540 captiveH1540 JeconiahH3204 the sonH1121 of JehoiakimH3079, kingH4428 of JudahH3063, from JerusalemH3389 to BabylonH894, and allH3605 the noblesH2715 of JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389; 21yeaH3588, thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, concerning the vesselsH3627 that are leftH3498 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the houseH1004 of the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and at JerusalemH3389: 22They shall be carriedH5927 to BabylonH894, and there shall they be, untilH5704 the dayH3117 that I visitH6485 them, saith the LORDH3068; then will I bringH935 them upH5927, and restoreH7725 them to this placeH4725.
