Jeremiah 3:1-9
They sayH559, IfH2005 a manH376 putH7971 awayH7971 his wifeH802, and sheH1931 goH1980 from him, and becomeH1961 anotherH312 man’sH376, shall he returnH7725 unto herH413 againH5750? shall notH3808 that landH776 be greatly pollutedH2610? But thou hast playedH2181 the harlotH2181 with manyH7227 loversH7453; yet returnH7725 againH5750 to meH413, saith the LORDH3068.
LiftH5375 upH5375 thine eyesH5869 unto the bareH8205 heightsH8205, and seeH7200; whereH375 hast thou notH3808 been lain with? By the waysH1870 hast thou satH3427 for them, as an Arabian in the wildernessH4057; and thou hast pollutedH2610 the landH776 with thy whoredoms and with thy wickednessH7451.
Therefore the showersH7241 have been withholden, and there hath been noH3808 latterH4456 rainH4456; yet thou hadst a whore’s foreheadH4696, thou refusedst to be ashamedH3637.
Wilt thou notH3808 from this time cryH7121 unto meH7121, My fatherH1, thou art the guide of my youthH5271?
Will he retain his anger for everH5769? will he keepH8104 it to the endH5331? BeholdH2009, thou hast spokenH1696 and hast doneH6213 evilH7451 things, and hast had thy wayH3201.
Moreover the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto meH413 in the daysH3117 of JosiahH2977 the kingH4428, Hast thou seenH7200 that whichH834 backsliding IsraelH3478 hath doneH6213? sheH1931 is goneH1980 upH7200 uponH5921 everyH3605 highH1364 mountainH2022 and underH8478 everyH3605 greenH7488 treeH6086, and there hath playedH2181 the harlotH2181.
And I saidH559 afterH310 sheH3808 had doneH6213 allH3605 theseH428 things, SheH3808 will returnH7725 unto meH413; but sheH3808 returnedH7725 notH3808: and herH3605 treacherousH901 sisterH269 JudahH3063 sawH7200 it.
And I sawH7200, when, for this veryH898 causeH5414 that backsliding IsraelH3478 had committedH5003 adulteryH5003, I had putH5414 herH3605 awayH7971 and givenH5414 herH3605 a bill of divorcement, yet treacherousH898 JudahH3063 herH3605 sisterH269 fearedH3372 notH3808; but sheH1931 also wentH413 and playedH2181 the harlotH2181.
And it cameH1961 to passH1961 throughH776 the lightness of herH1961 whoredom, that the landH776 was pollutedH2610, and she committedH5003 adulteryH5003 with stonesH68 and with stocks.
