27Danielדָנִיֵּ֛אלda.ni.YelH1841answeredעָנֵ֧ה'a.NehH6032beforeקֳדָ֥םko.DamH6925thekingמַלְכָּ֖אmal.Ka'H4430, andsaidוְאָמַ֑רve.'a.MarH560, The secretwhichH1768thekingמַלְכָּ֣אmal.Ka'H4430hathdemandedH560canH1768neitherH3809wiseחַכִּימִ֣יןcha.ki.MinH2445menH2445, enchanters,magiciansחַרְטֻמִּין֙char.tu.MinH2749,norH3809soothsayers, shew unto thekingלְמַלְכָּֽא׃le.mal.Ka'H4430;

28but there is aGodאֱלָ֤הּ'e.LahH426inheavenבִּשְׁמַיָּא֙bish.mai.Ya'H8065that revealeth secrets, and he hathmadeH3046knownH3046to thekingלְמַלְכָּא֙le.mal.Ka'H4430Nebuchadnezzarנְבֽוּכַדְנֶצַּ֔רne.vu.khad.ne.TzarH5020whatמָ֛הmahH4101shall be in thelatterבְּאַחֲרִ֣יתbe.'a.cha.RitH320daysיוֹמַיָּ֑אyo.mai.Ya'H3118. Thydreamחֶלְמָ֨ךְchel.MakhH2493, and thevisionsוְחֶזְוֵ֥יve.chez.VeiH2376of thyheadרֵאשָׁ֛ךְre.ShakhH7217upon thybedמִשְׁכְּבָ֖ךְmish.ke.VakhH4903, aretheseדְּנָ֥הde.NahH1836:

29as for thee, Okingמַלְכָּ֗אmal.Ka'H4430, thythoughtsרַעְיוֹנָךְ֙ra'.yo.noKhH7476came into thy mind upon thybedמִשְׁכְּבָ֣ךְmish.ke.VakhH4903,whatמָ֛הmahH4101should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets hathmadeH3046knownH3046to theewhatמָה־mah-H4101shall come to pass.

30But as for me, this secret isnotלָ֤אla'H3809revealedגֱּלִ֣יge.LiH1541to me foranyH3606wisdomבְחָכְמָה֙ve.cha.khe.MahH2452that I havemoreמִן־min-H4481thanH4481anyH3606livingחַיַּיָּ֔אchai.yai.Ya'H2417, but to the intent that theinterpretationפִשְׁרָא֙fish.Ra'H6591may bemadeיְהוֹדְע֔וּןye.hod.'UnH3046knownתִּנְדַּֽע׃tin.Da'H3046to thekingלְמַלְכָּ֣אle.mal.Ka'H4430, and that thou mayestknowH3046thethoughtsוְרַעְיוֹנֵ֥יve.ra'.yo.NeiH7476of thyheartלִבְבָ֖ךְli.VakhH3825.
