6Then wentוַיָּבֹ֧אvai.ya.Vo'H935Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֛הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414unto Gedaliahגְּדַלְיָ֥הge.dal.YahH1436the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Ahikamאֲחִיקָ֖ם'a.chi.KamH296to MizpahH4708;and dweltוַיֵּ֤שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427with him amongבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971that were leftהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֖יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604in the landבָּאָֽרֶץ׃ סba.'A.retzH776.

7Now when all the captainsשָׂרֵ֨יsa.ReiH8269of the forcesהַחֲיָלִ֜יםha.cha.ya.LimH2428which werein the fieldsבַּשָּׂדֶ֗הba.sa.DehH7704, eventhey and their menוְאַנְשֵׁיהֶ֔םve.'an.shei.HemH582,heardוַיִּשְׁמְעוּ֩vai.yish.me.'UH8085that the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֛לba.VelH894had made Gedaliahגְּדַלְיָ֥הוּge.dal.Ya.huH1436the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Ahikamאֲחִיקָ֖ם'a.chi.KamH296governorהִפְקִ֧ידhif.KidH6485in the landבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776,and had committedהִפְקִ֣ידhif.KidH6485unto him menאֲנָשִׁ֤ים'a.na.ShimH582,and womenוְנָשִׁים֙ve.na.ShimH802,and childrenוָטָ֔ףva.TafH2945,and of the poorוּמִדַּלַּ֣תu.mi.da.LatH1803of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,of them that were not carried away captiveהָגְל֖וּha.ge.LuH1540to Babylonבָּבֶֽלָה׃ba.Ve.lahH894;

11Likewise when all the Jewsהַיְּהוּדִ֡יםhai.ye.hu.DimH3064that werein Moabבְּמוֹאָ֣ב׀be.mo.'AvH4124,and among the Ammonitesעַמּ֨וֹןa.MonH5983,and in Edomוּבֶאֱד֜וֹםu.ve.'e.DomH123, and that werein all the countriesהָֽאֲרָצוֹת֙ha.'a.ra.tzOtH776,heardשָֽׁמְע֔וּsha.me.'UH8085that the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֛לba.VelH894had leftנָתַ֧ןna.TanH5414a remnantשְׁאֵרִ֖יתshe.'e.RitH7611of Judahלִֽיהוּדָ֑הli.hu.DahH3063,and that he had setהִפְקִ֣ידhif.KidH6485over them Gedaliahגְּדַלְיָ֖הוּge.dal.Ya.huH1436the sonH1121of Ahikamאֲחִיקָ֥ם'a.chi.KamH296the sonH1121of Shaphanשָׁפָֽן׃sha.FanH8227;
