17And they askedשָׁאֲל֖וּsha.'a.LuH7592Baruchבָּר֔וּךְba.RukhH1263,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Tellהַגֶּד־ha.ged-H5046us now, How didst thou writeכָּתַ֛בְתָּka.Tav.taH3789all these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֥יםha.de.va.RimH1697at his mouthמִפִּֽיו׃mi.PivH6310?

18Then Baruchבָּר֔וּךְba.RukhH1263answeredוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559them, He pronouncedיִקְרָ֣אyik.Ra'H7121all these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697unto me with his mouthמִפִּיו֙mi.PivH6310,and I wroteכֹּתֵ֥בko.TevH3789themwith inkבַּדְּיֽוֹ׃ פba.de.YoH1773in the bookהַסֵּ֖פֶרha.Se.ferH5612.

19Then saidוַיֹּאמְר֤וּvai.yo.me.RuH559the princesהַשָּׂרִים֙ha.sa.RimH8269unto Baruchבָּר֔וּךְba.RukhH1263,GoH3212,hideהִסָּתֵ֖רhi.sa.TerH5641thee, thou and Jeremiahוְיִרְמְיָ֑הוּve.yir.me.Ya.huH3414;and let no manוְאִ֥ישׁve.'IshH376knowיֵדַ֖עye.Da'H3045whereאֵיפֹ֥ה'ei.FohH375ye be.

23And it came to pass, thatwhen Jehudiיְהוּדִ֗יye.hu.DiH3065had readכִּקְר֣וֹאkik.Ro'H7121threeשָׁלֹ֣שׁsha.LoshH7969or fourוְאַרְבָּעָה֒ve.'ar.ba.'AhH702leavesדְּלָתוֹת֮de.la.tOtH1817,he cutיִֽקְרָעֶ֙הָ֙yik.ra.'E.haH7167it with the penknifeבְּתַ֣עַר הַסֹּפֵ֔רbe.Ta.'ar ha.so.FerH5608 H8593,and castוְהַשְׁלֵ֕ךְve.hash.LekhH7993itinto the fireהָאֵ֖שׁha.'EshH784that wason the hearthהָאָ֑חha.'AchH254,until all the rollהַמְּגִלָּ֔הha.me.gi.LahH4039was consumedתֹּם֙tomH8552in the fireהָאֵ֖שׁha.'EshH784that wason the hearthהָאָֽח׃ha.'AchH254.

24Yet they were not afraidפָחֲד֔וּfa.cha.DuH6342,nor rentקָרְע֖וּka.re.'UH7167their garmentsבִּגְדֵיהֶ֑םbig.dei.HemH899, neitherthe kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428,nor any of his servantsעֲבָדָ֔יו'a.va.DavH5650that heardהַשֹּׁ֣מְעִ֔יםha.Sho.me.'ImH8085all these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697.

25Nevertheless Elnathanאֶלְנָתָ֨ן'el.na.TanH494and Delaiahוּדְלָיָ֤הוּu.de.la.Ya.huH1806and Gemariahוּגְמַרְיָ֙הוּ֙u.ge.mar.Ya.huH1587had made intercessionהִפְגִּ֣עוּhif.Gi.'uH6293to the kingבַמֶּ֔לֶךְva.Me.lekhH4428that he would not burnשְׂרֹ֖ףse.RofH8313the rollהַמְּגִלָּ֑הha.me.gi.LahH4039:but he would not hearשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085them.
