2For then the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Babylon’sבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894armyחֵ֚ילcheilH2428besiegedצָרִ֖יםtza.RimH6696Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389:and Jeremiahוְיִרְמְיָ֣הוּve.yir.me.Ya.huH3414the prophetהַנָּבִ֗יאha.na.Vi'H5030was shut upכָלוּא֙kha.Lu'H3607in the courtבַּחֲצַ֣רba.cha.TzarH2691of the prisonהַמַּטָּרָ֔הha.ma.ta.RahH4307, which wasin the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judah’sיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004.

3For Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063had shut him upכְּלָא֔וֹke.la.'OH3607,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Wherefore dost thou prophesyנִבָּ֜אni.Ba'H5012,and sayלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,Behold, I will giveנֹתֵ֜ןno.TenH5414this cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892into the handבְּיַ֥דbe.YadH3027of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894,and he shall takeוּלְכָדָֽהּ׃u.le.kha.DahH3920it;

4And Zedekiahוְצִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ve.tzid.ki.Ya.huH6667kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063shall not escapeיִמָּלֵ֖טyi.ma.LetH4422out of the handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027of the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֑יםha.kas.DimH3778,but shall surelyהִנָּתֹ֤ןhi.na.TonH5414be deliveredיִנָּתֵן֙yi.na.TenH5414into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894,and shall speakוְדִבֶּר־ve.di.ber-H1696with him mouthפִּ֣יוpivH6310to mouthפִּ֔יוPivH6310,and his eyesוְעֵינָ֖יוve.'ei.NavH5869shall beholdתִּרְאֶֽינָה׃tir.'Ei.nahH7200his eyesעֵינָ֥יוei.novH5869;

5And he shall leadH3212Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙tzid.ki.Ya.huH6667to Babylonוּבָבֶ֞לu.va.VelH894,and there shall he be until I visitפָּקְדִ֥יpa.ke.DiH6485him, saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:though ye fightתִֽלָּחֲמ֛וּti.la.cha.MuH3898with the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֖יםha.kas.DimH3778,ye shall not prosperתַצְלִֽיחוּ׃ פtatz.Li.chuH6743.

6And Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֑הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,The wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068came unto me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,
