2And Saulוְשָׁא֤וּלve.sha.'UlH7586and the menוְאִֽישׁ־ve.'ish-H376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478were gathered togetherנֶאֶסְפ֔וּne.'es.FuH622,and pitchedוַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583by the valleyבְּעֵ֣מֶקbe.'E.mekH6010of Elahהָאֵלָ֑הha.'e.LahH425,and set the battleמִלְחָמָ֖הmil.cha.MahH4421in arrayוַיַּעַרְכ֥וּvai.ya.'ar.KhuH6186againstH7125the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃pe.lish.TimH6430.

3And the Philistinesוּפְלִשְׁתִּ֞יםu.fe.lish.TimH6430stoodעֹמְדִ֤ים'o.me.DimH5975on a mountainהָהָר֙ha.HarH2022on the one side, and Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478stoodעֹמְדִ֥ים'o.me.DimH5975on a mountainהָהָ֖רha.HarH2022on the other side: and there wasa valleyוְהַגַּ֖יְאve.ha.Gay'H1516between them.

4And there went outוַיֵּצֵ֤אvai.ye.Tze'H3318a championאִֽישׁ־ הַבֵּנַ֙יִם֙'ish- ha.be.Na.yimH1143 H376out of the campמִמַּחֲנ֣וֹתmi.ma.cha.NotH4264of the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430,namedשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034Goliathגָּלְיָ֥תgal.YatH1555,of Gathמִגַּ֑תmi.GatH1661,whose heightגָּבְה֕וֹga.ve.HoH1363wassixשֵׁ֥שׁsheshH8337cubitsאַמּ֖וֹת'a.MotH520and a spanוָזָֽרֶת׃va.Za.retH2239.
