21(then the priestH3548 shall have the womanH802 1swearH7650 with the oathH7621 of the curseH423, and the priestH3548 shall sayH559 to the womanH802), “may the LordH3068 makeH5414 you a curseH423 and an oathH7621 amongH8432 your peopleH5971 by the Lord’sH3068 makingH5414 your thighH3409 2shriveledH5307 and your 3bellyH990 swollenH6639; 22and thisH428 waterH4325 that bringsH779 a curseH779 shall goH935 into your 4stomachH4578, to make your bellyH990 swellH6638 upH6638 and your thighH3409 5shrivelH5307.” And the womanH802 6shall sayH559, “AmenH543, AmenH543.”

23‘The priestH3548 shall then writeH3789 theseH428 cursesH423 on a scrollH5612, and he shall 7washH4229 them offH4229 into the waterH4325 of bitternessH4751. 24Then he shall makeH8248 the womanH802 drinkH8248 the waterH4325 of bitternessH4751 that bringsH779 a curseH779, so that the waterH4325 which bringsH779 a curseH779 will goH935 into her 8and cause bitternessH4751. 25And the priestH3548 shall takeH3947 the grain offeringH4503 of jealousyH7068 from the woman’sH802 handH3027, and he shall waveH5130 the grain offeringH4503 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 and bringH7126 it to the altarH4196; 26and 9the priestH3548 shall takeH7061 aH7061 handfulH7061 of the grain offeringH4503 as its reminderH234 offeringH234 and offerH6999 it upH6999 inH6999 smokeH6999 on the altarH4196, and afterwardH310 he shall makeH8248 the womanH802 drinkH8248 the waterH4325. 27When he has madeH8248 her drinkH8248 the waterH4325, then it will comeH1961 aboutH1961, ifH518 she has defiledH2930 herself and has beenH4603 unfaithfulH4603H4604 to her husbandH376, that the waterH4325 which bringsH779 a curseH779 will goH935 into her 10and cause bitternessH4751, and her bellyH990 will swellH6638 upH6638 and her thighH3409 will 11shrivelH5307, and the womanH802 will becomeH1961 12a curseH423 amongH7130 her peopleH5971. 28But ifH518 the womanH802 has not defiledH2930 herself and is cleanH2889, she will beH5352 13immuneH5352 and conceiveH2232 14childrenH2233.

29‘ThisH2088 is the lawH8451 of jealousyH7068: whenH834 a wifeH802, who is underH8478 the authority of her husbandH376, 15goesH7847 astrayH7847 and defilesH2930 herself, 30orH176 whenH834 16an attitudeH7307 of jealousyH7068 comesH5674 overH5921 a manH376 and he isH7065 jealousH7065 of his wifeH802, he shall then have the womanH802 standH5975 beforeH6440 the LordH3068, and the priestH3548 shall applyH6213 allH3605 of thisH2088 lawH8451 to her. 31The manH376, moreover, will beH5352 freeH5352 of 17guiltH5771, but that womanH802 shall 18bearH5375 the consequences of her 19guiltH5771.’”
