1While IsraelH3478 remainedH3427 at 1ShittimH7851, the peopleH5971 beganH2490 2to commitH2181 infidelityH2181 with the daughtersH1323 of MoabH4124. 2For 3they invitedH7121 the peopleH5971 to the sacrificesH2077 of their godsH430, and the peopleH5971 ateH398 and bowedH2331 downH2331 to their godsH430. 3So 4IsraelH3478 5becameH6775 followersH6775 of 6BaalH1187 ofH1187 PeorH1187, and the LordH3068 wasH2734 angryH639H2734 with IsraelH3478. 4And the LordH3068 saidH559 to MosesH4872, “TakeH3947 allH3605 the leadersH7218 of the peopleH5971 and 7executeH3363 them 8in broadH5048 daylightH8121 before the LordH3068, 9so that the fierceH2740 angerH639 of the LordH3068 may turnH7725 awayH7725 from IsraelH3478.” 5So MosesH4872 saidH559 to the judgesH8199 of IsraelH3478, “EachH376 of you 10killH2026 his menH376 who have 11becomeH6775 followersH6775 of 12BaalH1187 ofH1187 PeorH1187.”
