Leviticus 7
The Priest’s Part in the Offerings
1‘Now thisH2088 is the lawH8451 of the 1guiltH817 offeringH817; it is mostH6944 holyH6944. 2In 2the placeH4725 whereH834 they slaughterH7819 the burntH5930 offeringH5930 they are to slaughterH7819 the guiltH817 offeringH817, and the priest shall sprinkleH2236 its bloodH1818 aroundH5439 on the altarH4196. 3Then he shall offerH7126 from it allH3605 its fatH2459: the 3fatH451 tailH451 and the fatH2459 that coversH3680 the entrailsH7130, 4and the twoH8147 kidneysH3629 with the fatH2459 that is on them, whichH834 is on the loinsH3689; and he shall removeH5493 the lobeH3508 on the liverH3516 4with the kidneysH3629. 5The priestH3548 shall offerH6999 them upH6999 inH6999 smokeH6999 on the altarH4196 as an offeringH801 byH801 fireH801 to the LordH3068; it is a guiltH817 offeringH817. 65EveryH3605 maleH2145 among the priestsH3548 may eatH398 it. It shall be eatenH398 in a holyH6918 placeH4725; it is mostH6944 holyH6944. 7The guiltH817 offeringH817 is like the 6sinH2403 offeringH2403: there is oneH259 lawH8451 for them. The 7priestH3548 whoH834 makesH3722 atonementH3722 with it 8shall haveH1961 it. 8Also the priestH3548 who presentsH7126 anyone’sH376 burntH5930 offeringH5930, 9that priestH3548 shall haveH1961 for himself the hideH5785 of the burntH5930 offeringH5930 whichH834 he has presentedH7126. 9Likewise, everyH3605 grain offeringH4503 that is bakedH644 in the ovenH8574 and everythingH3605 preparedH6213 in a 10panH4802 or on a 11griddleH4227 12shall belongH1961 to the priestH3548 who presentsH7126 it. 10EveryH3605 grain offeringH4503, mixedH1101 with oilH8081 or dryH2720, shall 13belongH1961 to allH3605 the sonsH1121 of AaronH175, 14to allH376 alikeH251.
11‘Now thisH2088 is the lawH8451 of the 15sacrificeH2077 of peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 whichH834 shall be presentedH7126 to the LordH3068. 12IfH518 he offersH7126 it byH5921 wayH5921 ofH5921 16thanksgivingH8426, then alongH5921 withH5921 the sacrificeH2077 of thanksgivingH8426 he shall offerH7126 17unleavenedH4682 cakesH2471 mixedH1101 with oilH8081, and unleavenedH4682 wafersH7550 18spreadH4886 with oilH8081, and cakesH2471 of well stirredH7246 fineH5560 flourH5560 mixedH1101 with oilH8081. 13With the sacrificeH2077 of his peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 for thanksgivingH8426, he shall presentH7126 his offeringH7133 with cakesH2471 of 19leavenedH2557 breadH3899. 14Of 20this he shall presentH7126 oneH259 of everyH3605 offeringH7133 as a 21contributionH8641 to the LordH3068; 22it shall 23belongH1961 to the priestH3548 who sprinklesH2236 the bloodH1818 of the peaceH8002 offeringsH8002.
15‘24Now as for the fleshH1320 of the sacrificeH2077 of his thanksgivingH8426 peaceH8002 offeringsH8002, it shall be eatenH398 on the dayH3117 of his offeringH7133; he shall not leaveH5117 anyH4480 of it overH5117 untilH5704 morningH1242. 16But ifH518 the sacrificeH2077 of his offeringH7133 is a 2526vowH5088 orH176 a 27voluntaryH5071 offeringH5071, it shall be eatenH398 on the dayH3117 that he offersH7126 his sacrificeH2077, and on the nextH4283 28dayH4283 what is leftH3498 of it may be eatenH398; 1729but what is leftH3498 overH3498 from the fleshH1320 of the sacrificeH2077 on the thirdH7992 dayH3117 shall be burnedH8313 with fireH784. 18So ifH518 anyH4480 of the fleshH1320 of the sacrificeH2077 of his peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 is ever eatenH398 on the thirdH7992 dayH3117, he who offersH7126 it will not be acceptedH7521, and it will not be creditedH2803 to him. It will be an 30uncleanH6292 thingH6292, and the personH5315 who eatsH398 it shall bearH5375 his punishmentH5771.
19‘Also the fleshH1320 that touchesH5060 anythingH3605 uncleanH2931 shall not be eatenH398; it shall be burnedH8313 with fireH784. 31As for other fleshH1320, anyoneH3605 who is cleanH2889 may eatH398 such fleshH1320. 2032But the personH5315 whoH834 eatsH398 the fleshH1320 of the sacrificeH2077 of peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 whichH834 belong to the LordH3068, 33when he is uncleanH2932, that personH5315 34shall be cutH3772 offH3772 from his peopleH5971. 2135WhenH3588 anyoneH5315 touchesH5060 anythingH3605 uncleanH2931, whether humanH120 uncleannessH2932, orH176 an uncleanH2931 animalH929, orH176 anyH3605 uncleanH2931 36detestableH8263 thingH8263, and eatsH398 of the fleshH1320 of the sacrificeH2077 of peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 whichH834 belong to the LordH3068, that personH5315 shall be cutH3772 offH3772 from his peopleH5971.’”
22Then the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 23“SpeakH1696 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ‘You shall not eatH398 37anyH3605 fatH2459 from an oxH7794, a sheepH3775, or a goatH5795. 24Also the fatH2459 of an animal whichH5038 diesH5038 and the fatH2459 of an animalH2966 38tornH2966 by animals may be putH6213 to anyH3605 other useH4399, but you certainlyH398 are not to eatH398 it. 25For whoeverH3605 eatsH398 the fatH2459 of the animalH929 from whichH834 39an offeringH801 byH801 fireH801 is offeredH7126 to the LordH3068, the personH5315 who eatsH398 it shall also be cutH3772 offH3772 from his peopleH5971. 26And 40you are not to eatH398 anyH3605 bloodH1818, either of birdH5775 or animalH929, in anyH3605 of your dwellingsH4186. 27AnyH3605 personH5315 whoH834 eatsH398 anyH3605 bloodH1818, that personH5315 shall also be cutH3772 offH3772 from his peopleH5971.’”
28Then the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 29“SpeakH1696 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ‘He who offersH7126 41the sacrificeH2077 of his peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 to the LordH3068 shall bringH935 his offeringH7133 to the LordH3068 from the sacrificeH2077 of his peaceH8002 offeringsH8002. 30His own handsH3027 are to bringH935 offeringsH801 byH801 fireH801 to the LordH3068. He shall bringH935 the fatH2459 with the breastH2373, so that the 42breastH2373 may be 43presentedH5130 as a waveH8573 offeringH8573 beforeH6440 the LordH3068. 31And the priestH3548 shall offerH6999 upH6999 the fatH2459 inH6999 smokeH6999 on the altarH4196, but 44the breastH2373 shall belongH1961 to AaronH175 and to his sonsH1121. 32And you shall giveH5414 45the rightH3225 thighH7785 to the priestH3548 as a 46contributionH8641 from the sacrificesH2077 of your peaceH8002 offeringsH8002. 33The one amongH4480 the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 who offersH7126 the bloodH1818 of the peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 and the fatH2459, the rightH3225 thighH7785 shall be his as his portionH4490. 34For I have takenH3947 from the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 47the breastH2373 of the waveH8573 offeringH8573 and the thighH7785 of the 48contributionH8641 from the sacrificesH2077 of their peaceH8002 offeringsH8002, and have givenH5414 them to AaronH175 the priestH3548 and to his sonsH1121 as their allottedH2706 portionH2706 foreverH5769 from the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478.
35‘ThisH2088 is the 49allotmentH4888 to AaronH175 and the allotmentH4888 to his sonsH1121 from the offeringsH801 byH801 fireH801 to the LordH3068, on that dayH3117 when he presentedH7126 them to serveH3547 asH3547 priestsH3547 to the LordH3068. 3650TheseH834 the LordH3068 had commandedH6680 to be givenH5414 them from the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 on the dayH3117 that He 51anointedH4886 them. It is their allottedH2708 portionH2708 foreverH5769 throughout their generationsH1755.’”
37ThisH2088 is the lawH8451 of the burntH5930 offeringH5930, the grain offeringH4503, the sinH2403 offeringH2403 and the guiltH817 offeringH817, and 52the ordinationH4394 offeringH4394 and the sacrificeH2077 of peaceH8002 offeringsH8002, 3853whichH834 the LordH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872 on MountH2022 SinaiH5514 on the dayH3117 that He commandedH6680 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 to 54presentH7126 their offeringsH7133 to the LordH3068 in the wildernessH4057 of SinaiH5514.
