44As for your maleH5650 and femaleH519 slavesH519H5650 whomH834 you may haveH1961--you may acquireH7069 maleH5650 and femaleH519 slavesH519H5650 from the pagan nationsH1471 that are aroundH5439 you. 45You may alsoH1571 acquireH7069 them from the sonsH1121 of the foreignH8453 residentsH8453 who resideH1481 amongH5973 you, and from their familiesH4940 whoH834 are with you, whomH834 they will have producedH3205 in your landH776; they also may becomeH1961 your possessionH272. 46You may also passH5157 them onH5157 asH5157 anH5157 inheritanceH5157 to your sonsH1121 afterH310 you, to receiveH3423 as a possessionH272; you can useH5647 them asH5647 permanentH5769 slavesH5647. 1But in respect to your countrymenH251, the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, you shall not ruleH7287 with 2severityH6531 over oneH376 anotherH251.

In proportionH6310 to his yearsH8141 he is to refundH7725 the amount for his redemptionH1353. 53He shall be with him like a workerH7916 hiredH7916 yearH8141 by yearH8141; 7he shall not ruleH7287 over him with 8severityH6531 in your sightH5869. 54Even ifH518 he is not redeemedH1350 by 9theseH428 meansH428, 10he shall still leaveH3318 in the yearH8141 of jubileeH3104, he and his sonsH1121 with him.
