The Watchman’s Duty

He has practicedH6213 justiceH4941 and righteousnessH6666; he shall certainlyH2421 liveH2421.

17“Yet 39your fellowH1121H5971 citizensH5971 sayH559, ‘The wayH1870 of the LordH136 is not rightH8505,’ when it is their own wayH1870 that is not rightH8505. 18When the righteousH6662 turnsH7725 from his righteousnessH6666 and 40commitsH6213 injusticeH5766, then he shall dieH4191 in 41it. 19But when the wickedH7563 turnsH7725 from his wickednessH7564 and practicesH6213 justiceH4941 and righteousnessH6666, he will liveH2421 by them. 20Yet you sayH559, ‘42The wayH1870 of the LordH136 is not rightH8505.’ I will judgeH8199 eachH376 of you according to his waysH1870, houseH1004 of IsraelH3478.”

Word of Jerusalem’s Capture

30“But as for you, sonH1121 of manH120, 64your fellowH1121H5971 citizensH5971 who talkH1696 with oneH2297 anotherH259 about you by the wallsH7023 and in the doorwaysH6607 of the housesH1004, speakH1696 oneH2297 with anotherH259, eachH376 with his brotherH251, sayingH559, ‘65ComeH935 nowH4994 and hearH8085 whatH4100 the 66messageH1697 is that comesH3318 from the LordH3068.’ 31And they comeH935 to you as peopleH5971 comeH3996, and sitH3427 beforeH6440 you as My peopleH5971 and hearH8085 your wordsH1697, but they do not doH6213 them; for they doH6213 the lustfulH5690 desiresH5690 expressed by their 67mouthH6310, and their heartH3820 followsH1980H310 their unlawfulH1215 68gainH1215. 32And beholdH2009, you are to them like a loveH5690 songH7892 by one who has a 69beautifulH3303 voiceH6963 and playsH5059 wellH3190 on anH5059 instrumentH5059; for they hearH8085 your wordsH1697 but they do not practiceH6213 them. 33So when it 70comesH935--71as it certainlyH2009 will--then they will knowH3045 that a prophetH5030 has beenH1961 amongH8432 them.”
