Vision of Abominations in Jerusalem

1Now it cameH1961 aboutH1961 in the sixthH8345 yearH8141, on the fifthH2568 day of the sixthH8345 monthH2320, as I was sittingH3427 in my houseH1004 with the eldersH2205 of JudahH3063 sittingH3427 beforeH6440 me, that the handH3027 of the LordH136 1GodH3068 fellH5307 upon me thereH8033. 2Then I lookedH7200, and beholdH2009, somethingH1823 likeH1823 the appearanceH4758 of 2a manH376; from His waistH4975 and downwardH4295 there was the 3appearanceH4758 of fireH784, and from His waistH4975 and upwardH4605 like the appearanceH4758 of a glowH2096, like 4gleamingH5869 5metalH2830. 3And He extendedH7971 the formH8403 of a handH3027 and tookH3947 me by the hairH6734 of my headH7218; and the 6SpiritH7307 liftedH5375 me upH5375 betweenH996 earthH776 and heavenH8064 and broughtH935 me in the visionsH4759 of GodH430 to JerusalemH3389, to the entranceH6607 of the 7northH6828 gateH8179 of the innerH6442 courtyard, whereH834H8033 the seatH4186 of the idolH5566 of jealousyH7068, whichH834 8provokesH7065 toH7065 jealousyH7065, was located. 4And beholdH2009, the 9gloryH3519 of the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 was thereH8033, like the appearanceH4758 whichH834 I sawH7200 in the plainH1237.

5Then He saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, 10raiseH5375 your eyesH5869 nowH4994 towardH1870 the northH6828.” So I raisedH5375 my eyesH5869 towardH1870 the northH6828, and beholdH2009, to the northH6828 of the altarH4196 gateH8179 was thisH2088 11idolH5566 of jealousyH7068 at the entranceH872. 6And He saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, do you seeH7200 whatH4100 they are doingH6213, the greatH1419 12abominationsH8441 whichH834 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 are committingH6213 hereH6311, so that I would beH7368 farH7368 from My sanctuaryH4720? But yetH5750 you will seeH7200 stillH7725 greaterH1419 abominationsH8441!”

7Then He broughtH935 me to the entranceH6607 of the courtyardH2691, and when I lookedH7200, beholdH2009, a holeH2356 in the wallH7023. 8And He saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, nowH4994 13digH2864 through the wallH7023.” So I dugH2864 through the wallH7023, and beholdH2009, an entranceH6607. 9Then He saidH559 to me, “GoH935 inH935 and seeH7200 the wickedH7451 abominationsH8441 that they are committingH6213 hereH6311.” 10So I enteredH935 and lookedH7200, and beholdH2009, everyH3605 formH8403 of crawlingH7431 thingsH7431 and animalsH929 and detestableH8263 thingsH8263, with allH3605 the idolsH1544 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, were carvedH2707 on the wallH7023 allH5439 aroundH5439. 11And standingH5975 in frontH6440 of them were 14seventyH7657 15eldersH2205 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, with JaazaniahH2970 the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227 standingH5975 amongH8432 them, eachH376 manH376 with his 16censerH4730 in his handH3027; and the fragranceH6282 of the cloudH6051 of incenseH7004 was risingH5927. 12Then He saidH559 to me, “Do you seeH7200, sonH1121 of manH120, whatH834 the eldersH2205 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 are doingH6213 in the darkH2822, eachH376 manH376 in the roomsH2315 of his carvedH4906 imagesH4906? For they sayH559, ‘17The LordH3068 does not seeH7200 us; the LordH3068 has 18abandonedH5800 the landH776.’” 13And He saidH559 to me, “YetH5750 you will seeH7200 stillH7725 greaterH1419 abominationsH8441 whichH834 they are committingH6213!”

14Then He broughtH935 me to the entranceH6607 of the 19gateH8179 of the Lord’sH3068 houseH1004 whichH834 was towardH413 the northH6828; and beholdH2009, womenH802 were sittingH3427 thereH8033 weepingH1058 for 20TammuzH8542. 15And He saidH559 to me, “Do you seeH7200 this, sonH1121 of manH120? YetH5750 you will seeH7200 stillH7725 greaterH1419 abominationsH8441 thanH4480 theseH428!”

16Then He broughtH935 me into the innerH6442 courtyardH2691 of the Lord’sH3068 houseH1004. And beholdH2009, at the entranceH6607 to the templeH1964 of the LordH3068, betweenH996 the porchH197 and the altarH4196, were about twenty-fiveH6242H2568 menH376 with their 21backsH268 to the templeH1964 of the LordH3068 while their facesH6440 were toward the eastH6924; and 22they were 23prostratingH2331 themselves eastwardH6924 toward the sunH8121. 17And He saidH559 to me, “Do you seeH7200 this, sonH1121 of manH120? IsH7043 it aH7043 trivialH7043 thingH7043 for the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 to commitH6213 the abominationsH8441 whichH834 they have committedH6213 hereH6311, that they have 24filledH4390 the landH776 with violenceH2555 and 25provokedH3707 Me toH3707 angerH3707 repeatedlyH7725? Yet beholdH2009, they are 26puttingH7971 the twigH2156 to their noseH639! 18Therefore, I indeedH1571 will dealH6213 in wrathH2534. My eyeH5869 will haveH2347 noH3808 pityH2347 norH3808 will I spareH2550; and 27though they cryH7121 outH7121 in My earsH241 with a loudH1419 voiceH6963, yet I will not listenH8085 to them.”
