1 Kings 21:7-19
7JezebelH348 his wifeH802 saidH559 to him, “1Do you nowH6258 2reignH6213H4410 overH5921 IsraelH3478? AriseH6965, eatH398 breadH3899, and let your heartH3820 beH3190 joyfulH3190; I will giveH5414 you the vineyardH3754 of NabothH5022 the JezreeliteH3158.”
83So she wroteH3789 lettersH5612 in Ahab’sH256 nameH8034 and sealedH2856 them with his sealH2368, and sentH7971 the lettersH5612 to 4the eldersH2205 and to the noblesH2715 whoH834 were livingH3427 with NabothH5022 in his cityH5892. 9Now she had writtenH3789 in the lettersH5612, sayingH559, “ProclaimH7121 a fastH6685 and seatH3427 NabothH5022 at the headH7218 of the peopleH5971; 10and seatH3427 twoH8147 5worthlessH1100 menH376 oppositeH5048 him, and have them testifyH5749 against him, sayingH559, ‘6You 7cursedH1288 GodH430 and the kingH4428.’ Then takeH3318 him outH3318 and 8stoneH5619 him 9to deathH4191.”
11So the menH376 of his cityH5892, the eldersH2205 and the noblesH2715 whoH834 livedH3427 in his cityH5892, didH6213 justH3512 asH3512 JezebelH348 had sentH7971 word to them, justH3512 asH3512 it was writtenH3789 in the lettersH5612 whichH834 she had sentH7971 them. 12They 10proclaimedH7121 a fastH6685, and seatedH3427 NabothH5022 at the headH7218 of the peopleH5971. 13Then the twoH8147 worthlessH1100 menH376 cameH935 inH935 and satH3427 oppositeH5048 him; and the worthlessH1100 menH376 testifiedH5749 against him, against NabothH5022, beforeH5048 the peopleH5971, sayingH559, “NabothH5022 11cursedH1288 GodH430 and the kingH4428.” 12So they tookH3318 him outsideH4480H2351 the cityH5892 and stonedH5619 him 13to deathH4191 with stonesH68. 14Then they sentH7971 word to JezebelH348, sayingH559, “NabothH5022 has been stonedH5619 and is deadH4191.”
15And when JezebelH348 heardH8085 that NabothH5022 had been stonedH5619 and was deadH4191, JezebelH348 saidH559 to AhabH256, “AriseH6965, takeH3423 possessionH3423 of the vineyardH3754 of NabothH5022, the JezreeliteH3158, whichH834 he refusedH3985 to giveH5414 you for moneyH3701; for NabothH5022 is not aliveH2416, but deadH4191.” 16When AhabH256 heardH8085 that NabothH5022 was deadH4191, AhabH256 gotH6965 upH6965 to goH3381 downH3381 to the vineyardH3754 of NabothH5022 the JezreeliteH3158, to takeH3423 possessionH3423 of it.
17Then the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 cameH1961 to ElijahH452 the TishbiteH8664, sayingH559, 18“AriseH6965, goH3381 downH3381 to meetH7122 AhabH256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, 14whoH834 is in SamariaH8111; beholdH2009, he is in the vineyardH3754 of NabothH5022, whereH834H8033 he has goneH3381 downH3381 to takeH3423 possessionH3423 of it. 19And you shall speakH1696 to him, sayingH559, ‘ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “15Have you murderedH7523 and alsoH1571 takenH3423 possessionH3423?”’ And you shall speakH1696 to him, sayingH559, ‘The LordH3068 saysH559 thisH3541: “16In the placeH4725 whereH834 the dogsH3611 lickedH3952 upH3952 the bloodH1818 of NabothH5022, the dogsH3611 will lickH3952 upH3952 your bloodH1818, yoursH859 asH1571 wellH1571.”’”
