1 Kings 16:8-28
8In the twenty-sixthH6242H8337 yearH8141 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, ElahH425 the sonH1121 of BaashaH1201 becameH4427 kingH4427 overH5921 IsraelH3478 at TirzahH8656, and reigned for two yearsH8141. 9And his servantH5650 1ZimriH2174, commanderH8269 of halfH4276 his chariotsH7393, conspiredH7194 againstH5921 him. Now 2Elah was in TirzahH8656 drinkingH8354 himself drunkH7910 in the houseH1004 of ArzaH777, 3whoH834 was inH5921 chargeH5921 ofH5921 the householdH1004 in TirzahH8656. 10Then ZimriH2174 cameH935 inH935 and struckH5221 him and putH4191 him toH4191 deathH4191 in the twenty-seventhH6242H7651 yearH8141 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and he becameH4427 kingH4427 inH8478 his placeH8478. 11And when he becameH4427 kingH4427, as soon as he satH3427 on his throneH3678, 4he 5killedH5221 allH3605 the householdH1004 of BaashaH1201; he did not leaveH7604 6a single maleH8366H7023 aliveH7604, either of his 7relativesH1350 or of his friendsH7453.
12So ZimriH2174 eliminatedH8045 allH3605 the householdH1004 of BaashaH1201, 8in accordance with the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 whichH834 He spokeH1696 againstH413 BaashaH1201 throughH3027 9JehuH3058 the prophetH5030, 13for allH3605 the sinsH2403 of BaashaH1201 and the sinsH2403 of his sonH1121 ElahH425, whichH834 they 10committedH2398 and into whichH834 they misledH2398 IsraelH3478, 11provokingH3707 the LordH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478 toH3707 angerH3707 with their 12idolsH1892. 1413Now as for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of ElahH425 and allH3605 that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478?
15In the twenty-seventhH6242H7651 yearH8141 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, ZimriH2174 reignedH4427 for sevenH7651 daysH3117 in TirzahH8656. Now the peopleH5971 were campedH2583 againstH5921 14GibbethonH1405, whichH834 belonged to the PhilistinesH6430. 16And the peopleH5971 who were campedH2583 heardH8085 15it being saidH559, “ZimriH2174 has conspiredH7194 and has alsoH1571 struckH5221 andH5221 killedH5221 the kingH4428!” Therefore allH3605 IsraelH3478 madeH4427 OmriH6018, the commanderH8269 of the armyH6635, kingH4427 overH5921 IsraelH3478 that dayH3117 in the campH4264. 17Then OmriH6018 and allH3605 IsraelH3478 with him wentH5927 upH5927 from GibbethonH1405 and besiegedH6696H5921 TirzahH8656. 18When ZimriH2174 sawH7200 that the cityH5892 was takenH3920, he wentH935 into the citadelH759 of the king’sH4428 houseH1004 and burnedH8313 the king’sH4428 houseH1004 overH5921 himself with fireH784, and 16diedH4191, 19becauseH5921 of his sinsH2403 whichH834 he 17committedH2398, doingH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, 18walkingH1980 in the wayH1870 of JeroboamH3379, and in his sinH2403 whichH834 he committedH6213, misleadingH2398 IsraelH3478 intoH2398 sinH2398. 2019Now as for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of ZimriH2174 and his conspiracyH7195 whichH834 he 20carriedH7194 outH7194, are they not writtenH3789 in the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478?
21ThenH227 the peopleH5971 of IsraelH3478 were dividedH2505 into twoH2677 partsH2677: halfH2677 of the peopleH5971 followedH1961H310 TibniH8402 the sonH1121 of GinathH1527, to makeH4427 him kingH4427; the other halfH2677 followedH310 OmriH6018. 22But the peopleH5971 whoH834 followedH310 OmriH6018 prevailedH2388 overH2388 the peopleH5971 whoH834 followedH310 TibniH8402 the sonH1121 of GinathH1527. And TibniH8402 diedH4191 and OmriH6018 becameH4427 kingH4427. 23In the thirty-firstH7970H259 yearH8141 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, OmriH6018 becameH4427 kingH4427 overH5921 IsraelH3478 and reigned for twelveH8147H6240 yearsH8141; he reignedH4427 for sixH8337 yearsH8141 at 21TirzahH8656. 24And he purchasedH7069 the hillH2022 22SamariaH8111 from ShemerH8106 for 23two talentsH3603 of silverH3701; and he builtH1129 on the hillH2022, and namedH7121H8034 the cityH5892 whichH834 he builtH1129 2425SamariaH8111, afterH5921 the nameH8034 of ShemerH8106, the ownerH113 of the hillH2022.
25Now 26OmriH6018 didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, and 27actedH7489 moreH4480 wickedlyH7489 thanH4480 allH3605 whoH834 were beforeH6440 him. 26For he 28walkedH1980 29entirelyH3605 in the wayH1870 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028 and in his sinsH2403 into whichH834 he misledH2398 IsraelH3478, provokingH3707 the LordH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478 toH3707 angerH3707 with their 30idolsH1892. 27Now as for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of OmriH6018 whichH834 he didH6213 and his mightH1369 whichH834 he 31displayedH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 28And OmriH6018 32layH7901 downH7901 with his fathersH1 and was buriedH6912 in SamariaH8111; and his sonH1121 AhabH256 becameH4427 kingH4427 inH8478 his placeH8478.
