1 Kings 14:21-28

211Now RehoboamH7346 the sonH1121 of SolomonH8010 reignedH4427 in JudahH3063. RehoboamH7346 was forty-oneH705H259 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he becameH4427 kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 for seventeenH7651H6240 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389, 2the cityH5892 whichH834 the LordH3068 had chosenH977 from allH3605 the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 to putH7760 His nameH8034 thereH8033. And his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was NaamahH5279 the AmmonitessH5985. 22And the people of 3JudahH3063 didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, and they 4provokedH7065 Him toH7065 jealousyH7065 with their sinsH2403 whichH834 they 5committedH2398, moreH4480 thanH4480 allH3605 that their fathersH1 had doneH6213. 23For they, tooH1571, builtH1129 for themselves 6highH1116 placesH1116, 7memorialH4676 stonesH4676, and 89AsherimH842 on everyH3605 highH1364 hillH1389 and 10underH8478 everyH3605 luxuriantH7488 treeH6086. 24There were alsoH1571 11maleH6945 cultH6945 prostitutesH6945 in the landH776. They committedH6213 12allH3605 the same abominationsH8441 of the nationsH1471 whichH834 the LordH3068 dispossessedH3423 beforeH6440 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478.

2513Now it happenedH1961 in the fifthH2549 yearH8141 of KingH4428 RehoboamH7346, that ShishakH7895 the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 marchedH5927 againstH5921 JerusalemH3389. 26And he tookH3947 away the treasuresH214 of the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 and the treasuresH214 of the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and 14he tookH3947 everythingH3605; 15he even tookH3947 allH3605 the shieldsH4043 of goldH2091 whichH834 SolomonH8010 had madeH6213. 27So KingH4428 RehoboamH7346 madeH6213 shieldsH4043 of bronzeH5178 inH8478 their placeH8478, and 16entrustedH6485 them to the 17careH3027 of the commandersH8269 of the 18guardH7323 who guardedH8104 the doorwayH6607 of the king’sH4428 houseH1004. 28And it happenedH1961 as oftenH1767 as the kingH4428 enteredH935 the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, that the 19guardsH7323 would carryH5375 them and would bringH7725 them backH7725 into the 20guards’H7323 roomH8372.
