Corinthians 11:3-9

But I wantG2309 you to understandG3609 that ChristG5547 is the 1headG2776 of everyG3956 manG435, and 23the manG435 is the headG2776 of a womanG1135, and GodG2316 is the 4headG2776 of ChristG5547.

EveryG3956 manG435 who hasG2192 something on his headG2776 while prayingG4336 orG2228 5prophesyingG4395 disgracesG2617 his headG2776.

But everyG3956 6womanG1135 who has her headG2776 uncoveredG177 while prayingG4336 orG2228 prophesyingG4395 disgracesG2617 her headG2776, for it is oneG1520 and the sameG846 as the womanG1135 7whose head is 8shavedG3587.

For ifG1487 a womanG1135 does not coverG2619 9her head, have her alsoG2532 10cutG2751 her hairG2751 offG2751; howeverG1161, ifG1487 it is disgracefulG150 for a womanG1135 to 11have her hairG2751 cutG2751 offG2751 orG2228 12her head shavedG3587, have her coverG2619 13her head.

For a manG435 shouldG3784 not have his headG2776 coveredG2619, since he is the 14imageG1504 and gloryG1391 of GodG2316; but the womanG1135 is the gloryG1391 of manG435.

For 15manG435 16does not originateG1510 from womanG1135, but womanG1135 from manG435;

for indeedG2532 manG435 was not createdG2936 for the woman’sG1135 sakeG1223, but 17womanG1135 for the man’sG435 sakeG1223.
