Romans 8:3-9
3For 1what the Law could not do, 23weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in 4the likeness of 5sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4so that the 6requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who 7do not walk 8according to the flesh but 9according to the Spirit. 5For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on 10the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, 11the things of the Spirit. 612For the mind 13set on the flesh is 14death, but the mind 15set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7because the mind 16set on the flesh is 17hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8and those who are 18in the flesh cannot please God.
9However, you are not 19in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God 20dwells in you. But 21if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
