Romans 12:6-21

6However, since we have gifts that 1differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if 2prophecy, 3in proportion to one’s faith; 7if 45service, in the act of serving; or the one who 6teaches, in the act of teaching; 8or the one who 78exhorts, in the work of 9exhortation; the one who gives, with 1011generosity; 12the one who 13is in leadership, with diligence; the one who shows mercy, with 14cheerfulness.

91516Love must be free of hypocrisy. 17Detest what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be 18devoted to one another in brotherly love; 19give preference to one another 20in honor, 11not lagging behind in diligence, 21fervent in spirit, 22serving the Lord; 1223rejoicing in hope, 24persevering in tribulation, 25devoted to prayer, 1326contributing to the needs of the 27saints, 2829practicing hospitality.

1430Bless those who persecute 31you; bless and do not curse. 1532Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 1633Be of the same mind toward one another; 34do not be 35haughty in mind, but 36associate with the lowly. 37Do not be wise in your own estimation. 1738Never repay evil for evil to anyone. 3940Respect what is right in the sight of all people. 18If possible, 41so far as it depends on you, 42be at peace with all people. 1943Never take your own revenge, beloved, but 44leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “45Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20“46But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
