3Then the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whatמַֽה־mah-H4100honorיְקָ֧רye.KarH3366or dignityוּגְדוּלָּ֛הu.ge.du.LahH1420has been bestowedנַּעֲשָׂ֞הna.'a.SahH6213on Mordecaiלְמָרְדֳּכַ֖יle.ma.re.do.KhaiH4782for thisזֶ֑הZehH2088?”And the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428servantsנַעֲרֵ֤יna.'a.ReiH5288who attendedמְשָׁ֣רְתָ֔יוme.Sha.re.TavH8334him saidוַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “Nothingלֹא־ דָּבָֽר׃lo'- da.VarH3808 H1697has been doneנַעֲשָׂ֥הna.'a.SahH6213for him.”

4So the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whoמִ֣יmiH4310is in the courtyardבֶחָצֵ֑רve.cha.TzerH2691?”Now Hamanוְהָמָ֣ןve.ha.ManH2001had justenteredבָּ֗אBa'H935the outerהַחִ֣יצוֹנָ֔הha.Chi.tzo.NahH2435courtyardלַחֲצַ֤רla.cha.TzarH2691of the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428palaceבֵּית־beit-H1004in order to speakלֵאמֹ֣רle.MorH559to the kingלַמֶּ֔לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428abouthangingלִתְלוֹת֙lit.lOtH8518Mordecaiמָרְדֳּכַ֔יma.re.do.KhaiH4782on the woodenהָעֵ֖ץha.'EtzH6086gallowswhichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he had preparedהֵכִ֥יןhe.KhinH3559for him.

5So the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428servantsנַעֲרֵ֤יna.'a.ReiH5288saidוַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559to him, “Beholdהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009,Hamanהָמָ֖ןha.ManH2001is standingעֹמֵ֣ד'o.MedH5975in the courtyardבֶּחָצֵ֑רbe.cha.TzerH2691.”And the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Have him comeיָבֽוֹא׃ya.Vo'H935inH935.”

6Hamanהָמָן֒ha.ManH2001then cameH935inH935and the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Whatמַה־mah-H4100is to be doneלַעֲשׂ֕וֹתla.'a.SotH6213for the manבָּאִ֕ישׁba.'IshH376whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428desiresחָפֵ֣ץcha.FetzH2654to honorבִּיקָר֑וֹbi.ka.RoH3366?”And Hamanהָמָן֙ha.ManH2001saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to himselfבְּלִבּ֔וֹbe.li.BoH3820, “Whomלְמִ֞יle.MiH4310would the kingהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428desireיַחְפֹּ֥ץyach.PotzH2654to honorלַעֲשׂ֥וֹת יְקָ֖רla.'a.Sot ye.KarH6213 H3366moreיוֹתֵ֥רyo.TerH3148thanמִמֶּֽנִּי׃mi.Me.niH4480me?”

7Therefore Hamanהָמָ֖ןha.ManH2001saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the kingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, “For the manאִ֕ישׁ'ishH376whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428desiresחָפֵ֥ץcha.FetzH2654to honorבִּיקָרֽוֹ׃bi.ka.RoH3366,

8have them bringיָבִ֙יאוּ֙ya.Vi.'uH935a royalמַלְכ֔וּתmal.KhutH4438robeלְב֣וּשׁle.VushH3830whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428has wornלָֽבַשׁ־la.vash-H3847, andthe horseוְס֗וּסve.SusH5483on whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428has riddenרָכַ֤בra.KhavH7392,and on whoseוַאֲשֶׁ֥רva.'a.SherH834headבְּרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃be.ro.ShoH7218a royalמַלְכ֖וּתmal.KhutH4438turbanכֶּ֥תֶרKe.terH3804has been placedנִתַּ֛ןni.TanH5414;

9then order themto handוְנָת֨וֹן יַד־ve.na.Ton yad-H5414 H3027the robeהַלְּב֜וּשׁha.le.VushH3830and the horseוְהַסּ֗וּסve.ha.SusH5483overH5921to oneאִ֞ישׁ'ishH376of the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428nobleהַֽפַּרְתְּמִ֔יםha.par.te.MimH6579officialsמִשָּׂרֵ֤יmi.sa.ReiH8269,and have them dressוְהִלְבִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ve.hil.Bi.shuH3847the manהָאִ֔ישׁha.'IshH376whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428desiresחָפֵ֣ץcha.FetzH2654to honorבִּֽיקָר֑וֹbi.ka.RoH3366,and leadוְהִרְכִּיבֻ֤הוּve.hir.ki.Vu.huH7392him on horsebackהַסּוּס֙ha.SusH5483through the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892squareבִּרְח֣וֹבbir.ChovH7339,and proclaimוְקָרְא֣וּve.ka.re.'UH7121beforeלְפָנָ֔יוle.fa.NavH6440him, ‘Soכָּ֚כָהKa.khahH3602it shall be doneיֵעָשֶׂ֣הye.'a.SehH6213for the manלָאִ֔ישׁla.'IshH376whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428desiresחָפֵ֥ץcha.FetzH2654to honorבִּיקָרֽוֹ׃bi.ka.RoH3366.’”
