16And the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971who were campedהַחֹנִ֣יםha.cho.NimH2583heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֤עvai.yish.Ma'H8085it being saidלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Zimriזִמְרִ֔יzim.RiH2174has conspiredקָשַׁ֣רka.SharH7194and has alsoוְגַ֖םve.GamH1571struckH5221andH5221killedH5221the kingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428!”Therefore allכָֽל־khol-H3605Israelיִ֠שְׂרָאֵלYis.ra.'elH3478madeH4427Omriעָמְרִ֨י'a.me.RiH6018,the commanderשַׂר־sar-H8269of the armyצָבָ֧אtza.Va'H6635,kingוַיַּמְלִ֣כוּvai.yam.Li.khuH4427overעַל־'al-H5921Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478that dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117in the campבַּֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃Ba.ma.cha.NehH4264.

17Then Omriעָמְרִ֛י'a.me.RiH6018and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֥לYis.ra.'ElH3478with him wentH5927upH5927from Gibbethonמִֽגִּבְּת֑וֹןmi.gi.be.TonH1405and besiegedוַיָּצֻ֖רוּ עַל־vai.ya.Tzu.ru 'al-H6696 H5921Tirzahתִּרְצָֽה׃tir.TzahH8656.

18When Zimriזִמְרִי֙zim.RiH2174sawכִּרְא֤וֹתkir.'otH7200that the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892was takenנִלְכְּדָ֣הnil.ke.DahH3920,he wentוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935into the citadelאַרְמ֣וֹן'ar.MonH759of the king’sהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּית־beit-H1004and burnedוַיִּשְׂרֹ֨ףvai.yis.RofH8313the king’sמֶ֛לֶךְMe.lekhH4428houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004overעָלָ֧יו'a.LavH5921himself with fireבָּאֵ֖שׁba.'EshH784, anddiedוַיָּמֹֽת׃vai.ya.MotH4191,

24And he purchasedוַיִּ֜קֶןvai.Yi.kenH7069the hillהָהָ֥רha.HarH2022Samariaשֹׁמְר֛וֹןsho.me.RonH8111from Shemerשֶׁ֖מֶרShe.merH8106fortwo talentsבְּכִכְּרַ֣יִםbe.khi.ke.Ra.yimH3603of silverכָּ֑סֶףKa.sefH3701;and he builtוַיִּ֙בֶן֙vai.Yi.venH1129on the hillהָהָ֔רha.HarH2022,and namedוַיִּקְרָ֗א שֵׁ֤םvai.yik.Ra' shemH7121 H8034the cityהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he builtבָּנָ֔הba.NahH1129Samariaשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃sho.me.RonH8111,afterעַ֣ל'alH5921the nameשֶׁם־shem-H8034of Shemerשֶׁ֔מֶרShe.merH8106,the ownerאֲדֹנֵ֖י'a.do.NeiH113of the hillהָהָ֥רha.HarH2022.
