24There were alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571maleH6945cultקָדֵ֖שׁka.DeshH6945prostitutesH6945in the landבָאָ֑רֶץva.'A.retzH776.They committedעָשׂ֗וּ'a.SuH6213allכְּכֹל֙ke.KholH3605the same abominationsהַתּוֹעֲבֹ֣תha.to.'a.VotH8441of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471whichאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068dispossessedהוֹרִ֣ישׁho.RishH3423beforeמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH6440the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478.

25Now it happenedוַיְהִ֛יvay.HiH1961in the fifthהַחֲמִישִׁ֖יתha.cha.mi.ShitH2549yearבַּשָּׁנָ֥הba.sha.NahH8141of Kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֑םre.chav.'AmH7346,that Shishakשִׁישַׁ֥קshu.shakH7895the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714marchedעָלָ֛ה'a.LahH5927againstעַל־'al-H5921Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

26And he tookוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947away the treasuresאֹצְר֣וֹת'o.tze.RotH214of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068and the treasuresאֽוֹצְרוֹת֙'otz.rOtH214of the king’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004, andhe tookלָקָ֑חla.KachH3947everythingהַכֹּ֖לha.KolH3605;he even tookוַיִּקַּח֙vai.yi.KachH3947allכָּל־kol-H3605the shieldsמָגִנֵּ֣יma.gi.NeiH4043of goldהַזָּהָ֔בha.za.HavH2091whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834Solomonשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃she.lo.MohH8010had madeעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213.

27So Kingהַמֶּ֤לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָם֙re.chav.'AmH7346madeוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213shieldsמָגִנֵּ֖יma.gi.NeiH4043of bronzeנְחֹ֑שֶׁתne.Cho.shetH5178inH8478their placeתַּחְתָּ֔םtach.TamH8478, andentrustedוְהִפְקִ֗ידve.hif.KidH6485them to thecareיַד֙yadH3027of the commandersשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of theguardהָרָצִ֔יםha.ra.TzimH7323who guardedהַשֹּׁ֣מְרִ֔יםha.Sho.me.RimH8104the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004.

28And it happenedוַיְהִ֛יvay.HiH1961as oftenמִדֵּי־mi.dei-H1767as the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428enteredבֹ֥אvo'H935the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, that theguardsהָֽרָצִ֔יםha.ra.TzimH7323would carryיִשָּׂאוּם֙yi.sa.'UmH5375them and would bringH7725them backH7725into theguards’הָרָצִֽים׃ha.ra.TzimH7323roomתָּ֥אta'H8372.

29Now as forthe restוְיֶ֛תֶרve.Ye.terH3499of the actsדִּבְרֵ֥יdiv.ReiH1697of Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֖םre.chav.'AmH7346and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that he didעָשָׂ֑ה'a.SahH6213,are they not writtenכְתוּבִ֗יםkhe.tu.VimH3789in the Bookסֵ֛פֶרSe.ferH5612of the Chroniclesדִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖יםdiv.Rei hai.ya.MimH1697 H3117of the Kingsלְמַלְכֵ֥יle.mal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063?

30And there was warוּמִלְחָמָ֨הu.mil.cha.MahH4421betweenH996Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֛םre.chav.'AmH7346and Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֖םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379continuallyכָּל־ הַיָּמִֽים׃kol- hai.ya.MimH3605 H3117.

31And Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֜םre.chav.'AmH7346layH7901downוַיִּשְׁכַּ֨בvai.yish.KavH7901with his fathersאֲבֹתָ֗יו'a.vo.TavH1and was buriedוַיִּקָּבֵ֤רvai.yi.ka.VerH6912with his fathersאֲבֹתָיו֙'a.vo.TavH1in the cityבְּעִ֣ירbe.'IrH5892of Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732; andhis mother’sאִמּ֔וֹ'i.MoH517nameוְשֵׁ֣םve.ShemH8034was Naamahנַעֲמָ֖הna.'a.MahH5279the AmmonitessH5985.And his sonבְּנ֖וֹbe.NoH1121Abijamאֲבִיָּ֥ם'a.vi.YamH38becameH4427kingוַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427inH8478his placeתַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פtach.TavH8478.
